"Why?"
you ask.
"Why do you hesitate
to use a new journal?"
Perhaps it is because
I don't want to waste it.
Maybe I am saving it
for something truly extraordinary.
But most often I
do not wish
to mar the beautiful surface
of a book capable of containing
my heart's deepest desires.
