Mistakes have been made
that led us to here
where we are
what we are doing
where we will go
and what we will do.
Mistakes have taught us
more than what we would
have learned on our own.
Each screwup
each stutter
each time you tripped over your own feet;
it led to this.
Each failure
each bad grade
each time you wanted to unsay certain words;
it all led you to here.
Where we are
and who
we will
become.
