"It is always better to know the truth than to cancel prior engagements. Always remember to communicate with everyone you meet- Nobody likes a liar or a flake."

"So how will you explain this," Dylan gestured to Zach's shoulder, "To your friend?"

"I don't know Dylan, I may not go after all." he replied, his head shaking.

"And why is that?"

Zach ran a hand through his dyed locks, "Because she... I don-"

"If it's a girl, I suggest that you don't make a rain heck."

"Fine then, how do you suggest that I go about tomorrow?"

"Just... Tell a truth."

"Yeah, like she'll believe that I have a pendant that gives me a super power, that has a probability of her believing me as much as if I told her that I wrestled a grizzly bear, which we all know did actually happen."

"So you say," Dylan chuckled at that, sarcasm in his tone, "Anyways, I said 'a truth' not the whole truth."

"What part do I tell her then?"

Dylan rested a hand on his chin. "Somewhere around the lines of..." he trailed off for a moment, "Tell her that you've dislocated your shoulder."

Zach nodded in response. "Okay. Thanks." He turned to walk around back towards his room.

"Have a good time!" Dylan called after Zach.

Zach turned a head to shoot the blonde boy a glare, "Whatever."

Zach walked away before Dylan could respond. It didn't take long before Zach had reached his room, walking over to his bed, and he laid down on it.

Zach then shut his eyes in an attempt to fall asleep.

Dylan stared in the direction in which Zach left and scratched the back of his neck. He then turned around and walked in the opposite direction towards his own room.

He shut the door tightly before he walked over to a tall dark wooden dresser, probably made of dark cherry, and he pulled the top drawer open.

Sure enough, it was empty. Dylan nodded his head and he closed the drawer slowly.

He then proceeded to sit down on the bed on the left side of the room.

"I really hope that we'll be okay. Just maybe..." He sighed before he laid back onto the bed. After a minute of silence, Dylan heard the door creak open.

"Hey Carter," Dylan greeted sitting up, "How you been?"

The reddish brown haired boy took off his dark jacket, setting it on his be by tossing it. "It's too hot, and did you know that there's a huge pool in the back?" he responded.

"That's pleasant. How's the water?"

"I didn't get to test it personally, but Nico said something along the lines of 'it's great' or something like that."

"That... Oddly enough sounds just like Nico actually." Dylan deadpanned.

"But I wonder." Carter muttered softly, almost unaudible.

"I'm sorry, what was that?"

"I wonder if our extended families know that we're alive." he replied hopefully.
