A Little Trip to the Park

The next days we eithe r spent playing football or watching random movies. May I just say, when I have Louis, Liam, and Kaitlyn on my team, and we're playing Niall, Zayn, and Harry, with Harry insisting that "he didn't need Kaitlyn or I on their team because their three men that can win on their own." Well, was he wrong we beat their buts. As a celebration, I took them to my favorite Ice Cream Place. As part of his defeat, Harry offered to buy. I nearly fell to the floor laughing as Harry scolded Niall about "Not ordering the whole ice cream place."

"What do you guys wanna listen to?" I asked as we all sat in my room, digging through just whatever we found, which at that moment happened to be a volleyball.

"Bon Jovi!"

"Usher!"

"Ed!"

I heard several voices say.

"Ed it is!" I said as I found + on my iPod, my finger automatically scanning to Autumn Leaves.That song is my absolute favorite.

Plumping on my bed next to Harry, I nearly dodged the volleyball coming at me and it ended up hitting Louis on the arm.

"OWWWWW!" he said loking around for the culprit,  "IT WAS YOU!!!"

Zayn looked up at Louis' ponting finger, "No man, I was doodling. Talk to Daddy over here." he said nudging his head towards Liam, who happened to have a huge smile on his face.

"PAYNE!!! It was you?"

Liam looked as devious as ever, and without saying anything, gave an innocent smile, and just continued playing with my Niall doll. Man, I gotta get a life, don't I.

"I'm gonna get you back, watch out." Louis said with what was it a weird-creepy tone.

"Okay...." I said trying to get away from the current conversation about how Louis is going to get revenge on Liam, "we should go to the park or something, they have one of those merry-go-round spiny-things." my finger moving in tiny circles.

"I'm in!" Kaitlyn said standing up and walking out of my room, going who knows where?

"Sure!" Liam said tossing my doll on my bed.

"Hey, hey HEY! CAREFUL WITH THE LEPRACHAUN!!!" I sorta yelled at Liam as I picked up the Niall doll and set him down nicely on my dresser getting weird looks from everyone.

"Makenna you are such a weirdo," said the one called Louis, "the actual Niall is in this very room, and you're worried about the doll?"

"It was a gift!"

Niall picked up the doll and held it up by his face, "Well at least mine looks like me, while Harry's looks like a creepy Susan Boyle."

"Niall you are the best." I said with a smile.

"It's not my fault I was born with the great looks of Susan Boyle!," Harry said, bouncing his curls.

"Oh Harry, if only I could be as beautiful as you....."

As soon as his dimples show Liam barges in, "So are we going to the park or-"

"YES!" I said as I grabbed my phone, a sweatshirt, and dragged the boys out the door.

"Ugh Kenna I'm so dizzy!" Kaitlyn said as she wobbled, trying to find me. I grabbed her arm, as she gained her balance back and walked back towards the group of boys.

Walking over to them, I only counted four.

"Where's Niall?" I asked Liam, walking over towards his direction.(no pun intended) Liam pointed over towards the swings as I saw the Irishman. Handing Kaitlyn over to him, I saw that the one next to him was open, I said, I could always enjoy a good swing. So i started running.

After racing a five-year-old to the swing, I sat down and joined Niall.

"Hey."

"Sup?" he said, dragging his feet back and forth in the sand below him.

"Why so glum?"

"Just..... thinking." he said.

"Oh did you want to be alone?"

"No it's fine, you can stay."

So there we sat in a silence. It really wasn't that weird, a little comfortable, like enjoying each other's presence. I looked over at him and his orbs met mine. His eyes were as blue as the ocean, meeting my pale-dark green ones. Our faces both showed a friendly smile. Looking away, I noticed how the weather was different. Leaves were getting darker.

"You know," I said interupting the silence, "Fall is really one of my favorite season, everything is cooling down, and the leaves are just gorgeous."

He smiled at me. "Have you been talking to Zayn too much? You sound so... deep."

We both laughed. I just hit him a little bit on the arm. "No, it just seemed like a moment to talk deep, like in one of those weird romance stories."

"Yeah well, they're at like beaches and stuff, while we're stuck here, at a playground, with a bunch of four-year olds."

"Niall, are you admitting to reading romance novels?"

His cheeks turned a little mad, but then he let out that classic laugh. "No, I've just been forced to watch Chick Flicks because of Harry. I only remember that because it happens in every single movie."

"Movies show what girls dream about, it makes us feel loved."

We sat there and talked for hours about random stuff like Giraffes and stories. I barely noticed how late it was until I saw the sun starting to set. Looking towards where the herd was before, no one was there.

"Liam says to get home soon, your mom made Tacos and they're almost done." Niall says next to me.

"Well we better hurry up and go, I really love tacos."

So I grabbed my hoodie and we started walking back to my house. I really did enjoy today. I set a personal record for the amount of time I spent at the park, and seemed to get closer to Niall.

Niall POV

Yes food! I haven't eaten all day! Her mom have better made a lot. And today cheered me up. Makenna's sarcasm made me forget about whatever annoyed me before. She's easy to talk to, with a sense of humor, and can cheer me up. This is just the beginning of whatever our friendship may turn to.

So I have finally updated! Yayy! Oh and i have over a thousand reads. THANK YOU!!!

And I am sosososososososo sorry it took me so long to update, I try to make the chapters really good for you to read. School has started, and so has volleyball, so I've been busy. And what did you think of this chapter? I actually really liked it.
