"Congrats to our graduating class!" My former principal said into the microphone with a grin. The rest of the grads and I raised our caps in the air and threw them up in triumph. I ran up to my friends and tackled them in a hug, all of us falling to the ground and laughing. We were free. No more school and the beginning of our lives as adults. Smiling for a few pictures, I eventually said goodbye to a few of my acquaintances before leaving with my family, grinning real big. We weren't doing anything special on my day of graduation, just going out for dinner. I picked Olive Garden. Yes, I know it's a chain restaurant and very original but come on. Have you had their soup and breadsticks? Yeah. You'd pick it too.

My phone buzzed lightly on the table as I talked to my aunt about college. I picked up the phone and read over the screen carefully.

Niallator (You know you love me:) )~Congrats on graduating I guess? Idk I'm sorta new at this whole American girlfriend thing. Love ya :) xxx

I smiled looking over the message, earning grins from the rest of my family and eye rolls from my parents.

Me~Haha thanks babe. Having fun in Aus?

Not even a minute later, my phone vibrated once again.

Niallator~Just woke up, what is it 7 pm there?

Me~Yup, how about there?

Niallator~10 am. Had to wake up early today to congratulate you :)

Me~ 10 isn't late

Niallator~Says the one who refused to get up before 11 when she stayed with me.

Me~I need my beauty sleep!

Niallator~Well so do I!

I laughed looking at the text, earning questioned looks from the rest of my family. Blushing lightly, I sent him a text back.

Me~Yes but it's more important to me.

Niallator~You don't need the extra sleep for beauty, I do! So get off my back woman!

Me~I am not on your back though, I'm millions of miles away from you.

I waited for a text back, but never got an answer. Sighing, I picked at the rest of my food and tried to converse with my family. The concerts probably starting, I thought on the car ride home. At my house, Lily was sitting on the couch, probably waiting for me. When she saw me she ran up and gave me a big hug. She's always over here after school. Her mom told me once that it's because no one has asked to be her friend at school. I hugged her small body back and lifted her up, "Hey Lil? How was your last day of first grade?"

She smiled and started bouncing up and down, "Great Great Great! We went to the zoo and I saw lions and tigers!"

I grinned and started walking towards my room, "That's fantastic! Did you see any giraffes for me?" I set her down on my bed.

Lily nodded and grabbed my iPad, "His name was George!" She then, unlocked it and started playing Candy Crush. I smiled and sat next to her, leaning back on my bed.

"Kenny?" she asked, taking me out of my thoughts.

I looked at her quick, "Yeah Lily?"

She set the device down and looked at me sadly, "Do you have to go away to college?"

"Yes, I do." I smiled lightly, stroking her hair, "I need to go to college because its time I decide what I want to be when I grow up, but don't worry, we have all summer to go on crazy adventures together!"

She smiled and stood up, "YAY! ADVENTURE!"

Later on, her mom came to take her back home. I was in my room, looking at the acceptance letter I received weeks ago, which sat on my desk. In the fall, I would be headed to UW Madison. It was the school of my dreams, and I actually was accepted into it. Happiness erupted inside me when I found out I was accepted. Niall was happy too, at least that's what I know. It would only add to the fact that we were still thousands of miles apart. But hey, we're working on it. And Madison does have an actual commercial airport by it.
