My Best Friend's Brother....And Then Some?

Min Yoongi

Now if I remembered correctly, Min min said he was going to be down by the pool for a late afternoon swim before dinner.

You walk through the living room and towards the sliding glass doors. You push one open and slide your slippers off and slip on your outside shoes before taking a step outside. There, Min Yoongi was sitting in the pool, his eyes closed and letting the warm salt water engulf his body from the neck down. You walk up to him and sit on the pool side, sliding your feet into the water next to him.

"Hey, Min Min," you say to him in aeygo.

Yoongi turns and looks up to you, squinting with judging eyes.

"Only Soo Rae calls me that. Why are you--"

"Because I am Soo Rae," you say quickly.

"Oh. Hmm. Makes sense," Yoongi mumbles and turns away.

"That's it? That's all you have to say?" You complain to him.

"Yeah. I kind of had a gut feeling you weren't acting yourself, well, when Jungkook, as you, called me Yoongs, that threw me off a bit." His lips form in a straight line as he cocks his head to the side.

There was a long five minute pause. The pool overlooks the city of Seoul. The view looks stunning at night. The lights reflect onto the pool and the setting sun makes everything seem to still in the midst of such a busy city.

"There is something else," you say.

"Oh? Do tell," Yoongi says sarcastically.

"I like Jimin and Jungkook."

"Shut up! I really didn't know that!" Yoongi says sarcastically. 

"You knew that too?!"

"You may not make it easy to see for the other guys, but I am not gullible, Rae Rae. My question is, why didn't you tell me earlier?" You look down at your feet in shame as you lightly kick your feet back and forth. 

"I am sorry, I didn't want to keep it from you, it's just, it wasn't just my secret. It was Jungkook's too. Jimin already sort of came clean to the guys and Taehyung was okay with it because he loves Jimin. And I am still unsure how Taehyung would feel about Jungkook liking me, so I never really said anything. And if I were to say something to you, you may have let it slip. You don't keep secrets well when you are drunk and you have recently had a bad habit of getting drunk," all of this is coming out of your mouth quickly so much so that you feel like your face had been turning red from not taking a single breath.

"YA!" Yoongi shouts, quickly turning around to look at you.

"You are right. I forgive you," Yoongi finally sighs out, waving his hand and turning to look back at the view.

The two of you sit quietly by yourselves for ten minutes when you finally break the silence again.

"Min Min? You have always known that it is hard for me to love myself."

"Yeah, always. That is why I encourage you."

"I don't know. I don't even think I am good enough for Jimin or Jungkook." You frown and play with the water with your feet even more so, causing small ripples to form. 

"Rae Rae, don't say that. You are beautiful in your own way. Your style is cute and you are absolutely adorable. Your smile lights up the room and your laugh is contagious. You know exactly what to say and when to say it. You work hard and you go after what you want without letting anything stop you. Don't let your insecurities stop you from choosing between Jungkook and Jimin. And whatever decision you make, we will still be here and love you." Min Min turns and looks up at you. You smile down at him and he pats your knee.

"We believe in you."

You sigh and pat his hand on your knee. You climb out of the pool and slide the glass door open and slide your feet into the house slippers, mentally preparing yourself to speak with the one person you hoped would cheer you up the most.
