My Best Friend's Brother....And Then Some?

"Hey, are you ready, Soo Rae?" You look at Jungkook and he frowns.

"What's wrong?"

"I'm nervous with how he'll react. He'll flip when he realizes it wasn't you he kissed. It was me."

"Everything will be fine, Jungkook."

"Are you sure?" You reach for his hand and squeeze it.

"As long as we are in this together, I am sure." He nods his head and you knock on Jimin's bedroom door.

"Jungkook! Soo Rae!" Jimin says gleefully then he frowns when he sees you two holding hands.

"Can we talk?" Jungkook says.

"Yes, what is it Soo Rae?" Jimin says, opening the door fully, allowing the two of you into his room. Your heartbeats fast as you look around the room for escape routes. There is only one: the door. Jimin has no windows because a sasaeng years ago broke into his room through the window and took pictures of him sleeping. He only woke up because she forgot to turn her phone on vibrate. Ironic enough, it was apparently her boyfriend calling her.

"Soo Rae and I have something to say," Jungkook says.

"Wait, what?" Jimin raises an eyebrow.

"Soo Rae is me, and I am Soo Rae. We were punished by fate when we cheated while playing that board game." 

"How long and when?"

10 MINUTES LATER

"So," Jimin's face begins to turn red, "what you are telling me is that when I kissed Soo Rae I was actually kissing, Jungkookie?" The both of you nod. His laughs lightly in surprise. "This has got to be a prank!" He raises his arms above his head, as if he is trying to catch his breath.

"Fine, if you are truly Jungkook, then tell me something only he would know, cause even at the hospital I was still a little confused," Jimin says. Jungkook pauses and thinks for a moment.

"Remember in high school, when you and I both went out for some noodles and you ran into your ex-girlfriend and decided to spend the night with her one last time?" Jimin frowns and sighs in disbelief. 

"Jimin, I know it's hard to believe--" You start to say but, Jimin cuts you off.

"No! Jungkook! You led me on to believe that Soo Rae likes me! How could you!?"

"What? What are you talking about?" 

"'What are you talking about?' Don't give me that! I saw the two of you kissing at the hospital! Don't play with my heart! You don't like me! You never liked me, Soo Rae! You truly led me on!"

"That's because I do!" You shout. Both Jungkook and Jimin turn to look at you.

"What? No! You promised!" Jungkook says. He gets onto his knees after you turn from them and sit on the edge of Jimin's bed.

"Woah, no! What did you promise?!"

"I didn't promise anything!"

"What did she promise to you, Jungkook?"

"That we were in THIS together?" Jungkook bites back angrily.

"I did! But that didn't mean we were in a relationship together. And just because I like you Jimin doesn't mean I want to be in a relationship with you at the moment. In this moment and time--" You stand up and walk towards Jimin's mirror by the closet.

"In this moment---I just want to learn how to fall in love with myself again." There was a long silence in the room. You turn to see Jungkook and Jimin in shock.

"I wish I could love myself," you say with a shaky voice. Jungkook looks down at the floor, tears streaming down his face.

"I wish I could love myself, too," Jungkook says.

Suddenly, the lights in the room flicker and the room begins to shake.

"Jungkook! Jimin!" You shout and reach out to them. The room goes dark. You stumble and fall. Your head throbs and your left shoulder is in pain. The lights come on and you look up to see Jungkook---

IT'S JUNGKOOK AS JUNGKOOK!

You point to Jungkook and shout. Jungkook shouts and points to you. You both rush to each other, crying and hold each other. Jimin stands from the floor and sighs.

"I am--I--" is all he can say as he studders to come up with words.

"Just come here," Jungkook demands. Jimin joins the two of you in the room when suddenly the door to Jimin's room busts open. Standing there, in the doorway was Kim Taehyung.

"Oh, brother!" You say.

"Is everyone okay? I heard shouting and then there was an earthquake."

You nod your head and reach out to your older brother. He pulls you up from the ground and pulls you into his warm embrace.

"I love you, my little Rae Rae. My Rae of sunshine."

"Tae Tae, I have something I need to tell you," You stumble over your words as you pull from Taehyung's embrace.

"I already know. Namjoon spoke with me, to help me keep my head level. I understand your confusion and I will be happy with whomever or whatever you choose because your happiness and health are most important to me." You smile up at your brother, more tears flowing down your cheeks.

"I chose to learn to love myself," you say with your whole chest. Taehyung pulls you into his chest, tighter now.

"I think that's amazing. And we'll all be here for it and to support it." You sigh, knowing everything was going to finally be okay.
