Chapter 8: Let it Out

It's now the day of the concert, and the band is preparing for their performance. Lammy and Katy are preparing their guitars and Ma-San is Setting up her drums. "Alright guys. It's our big day. You guys ready?" Said Katy, with pride. Lammy then had her thumbs up and Ma-San nods her head. "Alright gals, I want you guys to give the audience your all." Both Lammy and Ma-San nodded and they then go behind the curtains. Lammy breaths in and out. The Audience are waiting for the performance to start. The lights then start to dim down. "Parappa Town! Are you ready to rock with the cans?!" Said Katy, in excitement. The crowd then screams in excitement, and the curtains then came up. "We are milkcans!" Said Katy. Ma-San then taps her drumsticks together, and then the band start playing.

Meanwhile, outside the concert, Parappa is preparing himself to tell Lammy how he feels. "Ok Parappa. This is your chance to tell Lammy how you feel about this whole thing. Hope she reacts in a calm manner." Parappa then breaths in and out and he then goes to the concert. He saw Milkcans performing one of their songs, and he then sees Lammy, and then has a nervous expression on his face. And then, they then finish song. "Alright Everyone! We'll be right back! We just have to take a break." Said Katy. The band then goes backstage for a Break. Parappa then goes backstage, but then he is then sees Sunny. "Oh! Parappa! Didn't expect to see you here." Said Sunny. Parappa is looking at her with a shy look on him. "Um. H-Hi sunny. I-I didn't expect t-to come here...You here to see the milkcans performance?" "Well, yeah! I love to listen to the milkcans!" Said Sunny. "Are you here to see them?" "W-Well....Y-Yeah! I'm gonna go now...Bye Sunny" Parappa then goes backstage, Sunny was curious to see why he's going backstage, and decided to follow him.

Parappa is now backstage, and the band notice him, much to their surprise. "P-Parappa!! W-What are you doing here?!" Said Lammy. "Yeah. Don't you have a backstage pass? Because if you don't, you might get in trouble..." Said Katy Kat, in confusion. "Well. I just came to tell Lammy something..." By the time Parappa said that, Lammy has blushing and was preparing for what he might say. "Y-Yes Parappa?" Parappa breathed in and out and said this. "You know how you said You have a crush on me?" Lammy then nodded and Parappa said this. "Well.....I can't seem to accept that." "W-What?" Lammy said. While they were talking, Sunny is hearing all of this while being behind the concert sets. "Lammy. I know you're a nice girl, but I honestly don't see you as a girlfriend. And....I already have one. She's funny, she's sweet, she's beautiful, she's everything. But....I don't see you as girlfriend material. I just see you as friend material. Again, I know you mean well, but I can't be your girlfriend.....I'm sorry Lammy..." When those words came out his mouth, Lammy can feel her heart breaking. It feels like she was getting dumped. Katy and Ma-San were looking at the two and was feeling extremely sorry for Lammy. For them, seeing one of their friends get dumped was like a lose lose situation. Sunny was hearing the conversation, and she was also feeling sorry for the lamb. And After Parappa finished want he was about to say, he then started to leave backstage. Sunny sees this and she then left backstage first without anyone noticing. The girls were seeing Lammy and sees that she's more sad. "Woah...." Said Ma-San. "I-I'm so sorry Lammy..." Said Katy. "N-No....It's fine....let's just prepare our next performance...." Said the lamb, in a depressing manner. They then started to prepare their next performance, while Lammy is still depressed about what Parappa has said.

Parappa was about to leave the concert, but Sunny sees him and stopped him dead on his tracks by saying this "Where are you going Parappa?" "Oh! Uuuhhh I was just going home..." "Don't you wanna stay for the rest of the concert?" Parappa then thought about it and he then stayed. He was worried about how Lammy might feel during the concert, but he assured himself that she'll be fine. The concert then started, and they then played "Keep your Head Up!!" And believe it or not, this isn't making Lammy better. It made her worst. Because it reminded her that Parappa has denied her love, and it made her have enough. She was playing her guitar weakly, as she's holding back the tears. Katy and Ma-San then looked at Lammy, and they can tell that she is feeling more depressed. Lammy then stopped playing her guitar as she then dropped her guitar in defeat, and her tears then feel down. The Audience are looking at Lammy with concern and empathy, and Lammy then goes backstage, crying. Katy and Ma-San thought continuing the concert was pointless because seeing their friend in pain hurts then so much. So Katy went up to the microphone and says "Sorry everyone. Due to our friend's heartbreak, I'm afraid we can't continue. Again, we're sorry for the inconvenience." The band then goes backstage and everyone then awed. Parappa thinks he messed up. "Maybe this was a horrible time to come." The Audience and Parappa then left, and then, Sunny has then thought of something. Parappa then got home and he then got a phone call from sunny. "Oh. Hi Sunny." "Hey Parappa...Um...Can we go to Beard Burgers tomorrow?" Parappa is shocked sunny said this. Sunny Doesn't really choose which place they go to for dates. Parappa then said yes and they agreed to see each other tomorrow.

It may be the next day, but Lammy's heartbreak hasn't gotten away. She was still depressed after Parappa told her they can't be together, and her friends are trying their best to cheer her up at the place they practice at. Parappa sees this and starts to feel sorry for her. He then goes off to Beard Burgers. "I wonder why Sunny At Beard Burgers, Parappa enters and he sees that everyone, even the employees are talking about last night's performance. He then sees Sunny and then goes to her. "Hi Sunny!" "Hey Parappa..." "So. Why did you decide to bring me here? You don't usually choose dates for us." "Well....Parappa. I'm here to tell you something." Parappa is curious of what Sunny might say. "......I think we should split ways." Parappa is shocked about what Sunny has said, and his eyes shortened. "W-What?! Why??? What have I done?!" Said Parappa, in shock. "Well....You didn't do anything wrong. I just felt like we don't match together. Remember the days we where just friends? I honestly want to go back to those days. I think we work together as friends." Sunny said. "But....B-But...." Parappa heart is sinking. He can't believe what Sunny is saying. "I know you want this relationship to work, but let's face it. We don't work together as couple. I'm sorry Parappa....I hope you understand." Sunny then got out of her seat and then left the restaurant. She may be sad that she had to end her relationship, but after yesterday, it gave her some pride to tell Parappa how she feels. She also thought that this would make Parappa realize who he truly belongs with. She knew that Lammy would fit with Parappa together and she hoped he can understand. But he didn't. When Sunny said they should break up, he didn't take it well. He was heartbroken. The only girl she loved, broke up with him. Parappa has then ugly cried, and then, he said this to himself. "What have I gone wrong?" All seems lost for our dog and lamb, until one onion sees Parappa and here he comes to save the day.
