2 years later

Like Mrs. Stanley predicted, the police gave up. They couldn't find any leads to help with finding Adam. They couldn't even find electronic devices used to help search for him. For all the police new Adam could be dead. Mrs. Stanley didn't want to believe that, but she couldn't say it wasn't impossible.

So.....

She was going to asked John to look.

John had found a well paying job and had moved to an apartment not to far from work, meaning he still never had a car.

John now is at his job on his break eating his breakfast/lunch. Until the door opened.

"Hello Mrs. Stanley, what brings you to the bakery? I thought you preferred making your own sweets-."

"I came to ask you to keep your promise."

John froze. He knew what this meant. The police gave up on looking for Adam. Meaning he would have to look for him. The one thing John didnt want to do. Sure Adam was his best friend, but he had just gotten used to his co-workers, he finally got  more friends that he could trust..... but, he didn't like breaking promises either, even if it meant he would be hurt, he still kept them.

"I'll try to find him. But please give me time. I don't have alot of off days to do it and I don't want to get fired."

John was tackled in a hug

"Oh thank you John, thank you. Please just and try to see if he's alive. Bringing him home could be difficult with all the bad people that are torturing him as we speak but just try to save him."

John didn't really like the idea of torture but he put his mind away from the thought and put a smile on his face.

"No problem Mrs. Stanley."

On his off day, John went to go investigate the beach for anything that could be Adam's and that could help with finding his friend, hoping to find something.

2 hours later~

After 2 hours he found nothing but broken bottles and pieces of swim gear. How was this going to help him if anything the only thing he'd be able to prove he found is that the party allowed people to swim......wait.....theres a red line in the ocean. That must have been a stopping barrier to show the safe area.

Something clicked in John's mind. Alcohol, swim gear, safe lines, all of these seem to show that somebody could possibly have been tipsy and broke the rules.

John finally found a lead.

Adam was never on land. He was possibly in the water on a boat maybe trying to find his way back from being lost. Maybe even trying to find help from other boats. It all makes sense. John had finally found a way to save Adam.

------------------------

Deep in the blue sea, a woman with beautiful gray scales, cream colored skin, and crystal blue eyes were staring at John from a distance. A sweet scent had filled her nose, leading her to the boy and making her  feel even more bloodthirsty. Nobody was there with him, maybe she could feed, that scrawny boy she lured years ago couldn't satisfy her hunger for even the month.

She craved human flesh instead of fish. Wanting to bite into the bone while sucking out the veins as if they were Spaghetti. Craving the sweet sound of intestines being mushed to make a stew while pulling out the eyes to go on top as design. Drool being present on her average pink lips. Thinking about making him beg for her mercy and willing to do anything to be free. The thought of him begging aroused her slightly, but her hunger was stronger.

While being in her fantasy she noticed that her prey had fled. A string of curses flew from her mouth, a meal sitting right in front of her had escaped. Diving into the water she sighed, going off to find a fish to fill her stomach.
