chapter 3 - cancer

shiro went to school with bandages on her hands since she punched cemented walls.

"shiro - chan are you okay..?"
kokoro said concerned
"yeah, im fine..i just accidentally tripped and fell down.."
shiro said unable to make a better excuse.
"o - okay then.."
kokoro left to sit on her chair.

"im so stupid..why did i have to punch a wall... it hurts.."
shiro murmured to herself.
"shiro - san!"
shiro suddenly hears a familiar voice, she turned around. it was her childhood friend, and first love, hinata shoyo..

shiro noticed he was coming her way, she suddely remembered that hinata knows who she is, she was embarrassed and starting blushing.

"oh right, i have to call you shiro - chan now since your the real shiro!"
she looks away blushing
"what are you talking about..?
i was real from the begining"
hinata gives a big smile to shiro, he then noticed shiro was hiding her hands.
"eh? why are you hiding your hands shiro - chan?"
hinata asked
"eh..? um its nothing..."
shiros eyes widened looking at a different direction.
hinata knew she was hiding something.
hinata quickly took shiros hand.
"w - wait shoyo-"
hinata saw shiros hands bandaged
"whats wrong with your hand?"
hinatas grip was strong.
"s - shoyo it hurts..."
"oh..sorry.."
hinata slowly took his hands off hers
hinata looked at shiro
shiro made eye contact with him,
she got scared and looked away.
shiro doesnt like this kind of hinata,
when he acts scary that is.
"i - i tripped and fell-"
"im not gonna buy that!!"
shoyo screamed.
shiro was startled, she started shaking...
hinata noticed she was shaking, he suddenly felt guilty.
"im..im sorry...its just you suddenly told me that you were my childhood friend out of nowhere..and i havent seen you for a long time so..im just worried for you.."
hinata lowered his head.
shiros eyes widened.
"i punched a wall.."
hinata suddenly looked at shiro
"what was that...? i didnt hear correctly..."
"i said i punched a wall!!"
shiro screamed
it got silent suddenly..
"........................hHahahhHahaaHha"
"w - what??! i punched a wall, so what??!!"
shiro screamed embarrased.
"s - shiro hahaaaa yo - your so stupid!! hahahaa"
shiro noticed
** stupid...huh? **
shiro started looking at her hands
"yeah... it really is stupid isnt it?"
shiro smiled.
the teacher came in the classroom and everyone sat down
** i really am stupid.. for loving you that is... **
shiro whispered
kokoro clenched her fist on her table.

[ lunch time ]

"shiroo!!! lets go together~~"
her classmates told her
"sure~"
her classmates talked about girly things while shiro just listened.
suddenly one of her classmates calls shiro.
"shiro, shiro!"
"ah yeah..?"
"did you know?? hinata has a girlfriend!!"
her classmate said
shiro was shocked.
"oh yeah!! the blond girl?? shes cute but she gets too uncomfortable around people like us.."
"yeah, i dont really like her either"
"well atleast the guys cute"
** yachi and shoyo are dating?!!**
shiro whispered in shock
"shiro - san, shiro - san?"
shiro noticed
"ah yes?"
"are you alright? should we go to the infirmary?"
"no im fine.."
shiro faked a smile

[ after school ]
"kageyama - san, kageyama - san!!"
shiro runs towards the tall guy shoyo was always with.
"huh"
"kAgeyAma - sAn"
shiro stops infront of him exhausted.
"k - kageyama - san"
"yes?"
"d - does shoyo have a girlfriend??"
"why are you asking?"
"i - is it yachi - chan?!?"
"uh..well yea-.."
shiro starts tearing up
"w - why are yOu cRyIng?"
"no its nothing.."
shiro wipes her tears
"uHHHHH, do you like hinata?"
"hUh? n - no of couRsE nOt!!"
"so you do..."
the blue haird boy continued to drink his milk.
"i dO nOt!!"
shiro continued to jump in frustration with a flushed red face
"well.."
the tall haired boy put his hand on the brunette haired girls head and starts to pat her gently
"well, to make you stop crying, hinata told me he was your first love."
shiros eyes brighten and her cheeks began to turn red
"i hope, knowing that he loved you first atleast makes you happy"
kageyama kept patting shiros head as people walked by, while shiros head was down low crying.
** why am i crying when im so happy, why am i so flustered when i know i was his first love? why??? why am i so sad?? **
"i - i want to be with shoyo more *hic*"
"well why are you asking me?
ask his girlfriend"
shiro looks up
"thats crazy! you want me to tell shoyos girlfriend that i wanna be with him more?!"
"well? why not? theres nothing wrong with it"
"yes it is! people would be thinking that i steal other peoples boyfriends!"
shiro screamed at him with swollen eyes.
"and whats wrong with that?
if i had a crush, i wouldnt care of what people would think of me just because i wanna get closer with her"
