-Marvin-

It is her funeral today.

She gets the best one is my job. Even tho no one asked me to take any part in it, I still did.

There is no clue of where Andrea is. I would have called the cops and filed a report of a missing person but when we were nineteen she pulled a trick like this for fun. That time we did called the police only for her to show up on her own.

Clay's supposed to give a speech today. Just thinking about going to the funeral of the person I love made me want to just stay in bed.

Looking at my bedside clock I notice that I have only one hour to get ready if I want to get there in time. So without thinking any further, I get out of bed and head in the bathroom.

As fast as I can I shower and get out of the house. While I'm sitting in my car, I look over to the passengers' side and can't help but think of Anne. She was the only person I allowed to sit there.

Closing my eyes I let the memories of her crash on me like a wave of the ocean.

___

Her funeral is beautiful.

There are not many people. Not many people knew her.

Some of her close friends are here. I also see some of her co-workers. And I guess there are her mum's friends too. With others who knew her.

One of her mum's friend just finished saying some things about Anne. It was Clay's turn now. I know for a fact that he had prepared a speech. He told me Anne wanted him to give a classic speech in her funeral for some reason.

He took his time to walk up to the stage. Stopping at the casket first, whispering something.

When he is on the stage it seems like he got a sudden boost of confidence.

He inhaled a sharp breath and started,

"I am honored and privileged to have spent my entire life knowing and having Anne as my best friend, my sister from another mister.

"We say that the hour of death cannot be forecast, but when we say this we imagine that hour in an obscure and distant future. It never occurs to us that it has any connection with the day already begun or that death could arrive that same afternoon

"One thing I think is that everyone who knew Anne knew how generous and caring a person she was. There wasn't one time at the close of a visit or conversation that she would always, without fail say, "Let me know if you need anything. Love you!" And you know in your heart that she meant it!

"Anne's life was short-lived yet I know she had many future plans. One, in particular, she was looking forward to with love and excitement is the to her upcoming birthday later this year.

I am confident that Anne is now with our creator. I thank you for my best friend Anne and for allowing me to become part of her life's journey. She will be in our hearts forever and ever." He concluded his speech with tears in his eyes as everyone applauded for him.

After thanking the small crowd he got off the stage.

While I had the chance I went to Anne's casket where she laid in a beautiful white dress. She looked like she was peacefully sleeping. But she was in a sleep where she was never gonna wake up.

The funeral was concluded with Anne being buried.

___

I was leaning on the side of my car thinking about my only love, Anne.

Two people approached me. Them being Clay and Brandon. I look at Clay questioningly when Brandon gave him a look and left us alone.

He cleared his throat.

"Anne gave me this envelope to give to you after her funeral. And I will be moving out of town so I have this USB for you with videos of Anne on her last days."

The envelope was a simple white with my name at the front in her cursive handwriting. And the USB was a simple black one.

I look at him with a sad smile. "Thank you."

"Your welcome. Goodbye."

"Goodbye." Then he walked away from me.

___

Currently, I was sitting on my bed in my sweatpants with the envelope in my hand.

Finally, I summon enough willpower and open it. I feel my eyes moisten when I read it.

"I had a lot of free time and we had made up recently, and I am in a poetic mood. Here is a kind of sad poem from me for you.

Death is not the end,
For love goes on
And you will find the evidence
Long after I have gone.
The flowers that we planted
Will blossom without end,
You'll find me in their beauty
As to their needs you tend.
The books we read together,
The laughter in the pages,
Will continue to give pleasure
To you throughout the ages.
So do not mourn my passing
You are not left alone,
You'll always find me waiting
In the places, we have known.
The bond that grew between us
Will not abate with time,
It will go on for always,
I'm yours and you are mine.

I hope you liked it. And I want to tell you this just in case I did not say it to you in my short-lived life. I love you."

She said she loved me in this letter. She did not get a chance to say it herself.

I love you too, Anne.

I always will. no matter what.

Ones I recover from the little break down I had, I get my laptop and play the videos in it. She was always smiling no matter what. Both of them knew she was going to die and still she was always smiling.

I smile to myself when I see her flashing another one of her smiles to the camera.
