I wake up to my phone ringing on my nightstand right next to my bed. I already knew who was calling because of the different ringtone I set for him. Reaching my hand on the nightstand with my eyes closed I get my phone and press it against my ear answering.

"Rise and shine Sweetheart!" Marvin's deep voice greeted me from the other side of the line. I just groaned as a response. "I've been doing this for seven years and I always get the same response. Why am I not surprised?"

"Because you know me?" I offered lamely. "I honestly don't know what Fifteen-year-old me was thinking when she agreed to be your girlfriend." I know exactly what she was thinking. I liked him too much.

Yes, I liked him too much. Past tense, I think am falling in love with him. It's more than like now. I don't know how or when I exactly began to love him but I do. That's all that matters now.

"Because I'm amazing like that." I'm pulled out of my thoughts by Marvin's voice. "Yeah, sure." I reply sarcastically. Even though I do think he is amazing. When it's just us all sides of him show up. And that's one more thing love about him.

"Although I love waking you up, I also wanted to tell you that I got you a day off at your work and you are supposed to meet the gang at the park in thirty to forty minutes."

"I'm gonna have a long weekend?! OH MY GOD! YOU ARE THE BEST!" by now I was standing on my bed. It's a good thing I live alone, at the moment. Normally I don't really like working on Fridays. Well, I never like working on Fridays.

"Yes, and calm down!" he said while laughing at my excitement. "Okay, get ready I'll be at yours in 10."

"Oki. Bye!"

"Bye. See you soon Sweetheart!"

I hang up and rush in the ensuite bathroom to fresh up. After my personal business and a nice hot shower later I go back to my room. While opening my closet I hum a random song and take out a random blue stone washed jeans and a black T-shirt and quickly put them on.

It's been more than 10 minutes so I assume that Marvin is waiting for me in the living room. He knows where the spare keys are. Previously, I told him he can come in using the spare keys. He was hesitant but I managed to persuade him.

I take a random towel and start towel-drying my hair while walking down the stairs to the living room. My hair is medium length. They go just over my shoulder and they are light brown in color.

Just as I enter the living room I see Marvin sitting on the couch scrolling through his phone. Patiently waiting for me. "MARVEEEEEE!" I yell and tackle him in a bear hug which he returns while chuckling on my childishness.

After a while, he speaks up.

"I brought breakfast for you."

"FOOD!" I scream and get of off him charging towards the direction of the kitchen. Sure enough, there is a packed burger with extra fries and orange juice. Oh, he knows me well. I eat enough. Also, I go for martial arts training. So I manage to stay in shape without trying much.

While I'm happily eating I notice Marvin looking at me and smiling. Or staring, I guess? So I turn around covering my food with my body and continue eating.

I could just feel how confused he feel right about now. "What are you doing?"

"Covering my food from you, Duh. You are not at all, I repeat not at all getting any of this."

He decides to humor me "Why not?" comes his reply in a whiny baby voice and I can practically feel him pouting.

"Because it's my breakfast. Besides you already had yours."

"Mean." He mutters to himself but loud enough for me to hear.

"Does it look like I care?" I say looking at him over my shoulder and pointing my index finger my face.

He just chuckles at me and shakes his head smiling. "Somethings just don't change I guess."

"Perhaps. Perhaps not." with that I turn my face back around and resume eating my food. This time he doesn't say anything and I peacefully finish my food. Not that I don't like his comments. I like all of the stupid comments he makes. They are just too stupid sometimes that a deaf person can't dislike them.

After I'm done we walk out of my house together, hand in hand. Soon enough we reach his car and get in. We talk for the short duration of the ride with a low hum of music in the background. It doesn't take long to reach the park as it just around the corner from my house.

He pulls up in parking space and we get out of his car and walk towards the park hand in hand. We make our way towards the swings to see two of them already taken by our friends. Andrea and Clay. They were chatting while swinging slowly.

"ANDREA! CLAY!" I yell loudly catching their attention.

Both of them stand up waiting for us with smiles. I jog toward them while dragging Marvin behind me. When I'm near them I leave Marvin to slowly walk himself to us while my best friend pulled me in a hug. Ones I'm done hugging her I go ahead and give Clay a hug too.

When we all are done giving each other hugs we start chatting about random things. Then all of a sudden Clay speaks loudly.

"ANNE!"

"Gee Clay! I'm not deaf! You almost gave me a heart attack!"

"Sorry." He murmurs quietly.

"It's okay. What do you want to say anyway?"

"I kind of need your help?"

"I'm listening." I look at him questioningly. Which he returns with a pleading look.

"Please be my wing women! Please! Please!"

"Why me? Why not Andrea or Marvin?" Now I was kind of confused.

"Not Marvin because of obvious reasons-" he was cut off by Marvin "HEY!"

"-and Andrea couldn't do it. Will you do this teeny-tiny favor for me? Please! Please! Please!"

"Glad to know I'm your first choice." I reply sarcastically.

"Don't worry, You are always my first choice!" Marvin says to me wrapping his arms around me and planting a kiss on my temple.

"Enough with all that lovey-dovey things and just say yes!" Clay speaks up pretending to be annoyed when we all can see how bad he want to fan-girl about how cute we are together. Though there is nothing holding my best friend back.

"AWE! YOU BOTH ARE SO CUTE!" Andrea gushes.

"Thanks, Rea!" I thank my best friend first purposefully taking my time. When I think Clay has suffered enough I finally reply to him. "Fine. I'll help you, Clay."

He lets out a loud squeak. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Now thanks to you I'll hopefully have a boyfriend soon!" Suddenly I'm pulled out of Marvin's arms and squeezed into Clay.

"I'll have to be alive to be your wing woman." I breathe out and I'm finally released from the bear hug. Ones my breathing returns to normal I go to Marvin seeking comfort which he gladly gives me.

We spend the rest of the evening chatting away.
