[Patrick Stump-First Person]
"Elisa, we can't go out. It's the most horrific night ever! You'll die!" I exclaim to my wife, who didn't even realize what she was even doing.
"Patrick, not everyone dies tonight. You need to calm down," she says, using a calming tone. Obviously, she wasn't calming me down. I thought I was going to get a panic attack. She couldn't. She would be putting herself in danger. And if she died tonight, I would never forgive myself.
What was weird was that she would always be the one who wanted to be in safety, anywhere she went. But, tonight was different. I loved the old Elisa, but, she was different from this new one.
I pull my fedora over my eyes, not wanting to show how much my eyes were in tears right now. My wife was leaving, just for a girls night out, which was in a rich neighborhood.
"You'll be fine Patrick." Those were the last words I ever heard her say before she left. Maybe her last words ever.
I grab my jacket, heading upstairs to get my suitcase to leave the city. Maybe the guys and I could get out of Chicago, that is, before the deadly Purge commences. I call them up, listening to their agreements. I pack my suitcase and hope I can get on the next flight to California.
That is, if I can get there. In twenty minutes or less.

The time has changed because I found out it takes almost four hours and a half to get from Chicago to California. My mistake. I apologize in advance.
