So the last chapter was the last chapter for Part 1, which was supposed to be more action, Part 2 is a little more romance and dramatic, but there's still action (romaction, yes, I just used a Bedtime Stories reference).

Chapter 12 (Bonus Chapter)-After the Purge

I looked down to see Patrick burying his face in his hands next to his wife's dead body. I couldn't believe it. Leo was the bad guy in this case. And he killed a guy's, who's music he loved, wife.
I go over towards where Patrick was, sit on my knees and rub his back in circles. He hugs me in response, crying into my shirt. I see Stormy come over and sit next to me. She pats his back and when he looks up, her eyes look saddened and it breaks my heart to see them both sad. He lets go of me and latches onto Stormy, although she's a few inches shorter than he is.
I feel a tap on the shoulder. I turn around and see Pete standing next to me. He sits down next to me and I instantly hug him, letting my tears fall.
"Shh, it's okay," he says, rubbing my back.
"I'm not crying for just Patrick, you know," I reply.
"Then what else?"
"Why Leo would do such a thing. He hates killing people! Especially Patrick's wife."
"Why are you marrying him?" I hear Patrick ask. Oh no, now I have to admit it.
"Before, I had a reason. He was nice and protected me. Now, I don't know why. Maybe it's because I know the guy I really love probably will never love me back and marrying him will make me forget," I explain. If only that guy knew. If only they knew.
"I want to bury her too," Patrick says.
Just then, Toby grabs a blanket and covers up Elisa's body and picks her up.
Patrick then walks over and asks for Elisa's body, Toby, in turn, giving her to him.
I walk over to near the end of the park, where there's a graveyard, and find an empty spot.
Keegan and Jordan go ahead and dig a hole, Brendon jumping into it. Patrick hands Chris her body and jumps in with him, my brother giving her. I swear, while we were burying her, I felt her touch my shoulder and I saw her there, ghost and all, quickly moving to Patrick and saying it was okay.

A few hours later
"I feel guilty for this being done to you, Patrick," I say to a still crying Patrick. Stormy was still comforting him.
"Then kill Leo," he replies. I look down at my feet and think about it. Leo needed a taste of his own medicine. We just had to figure out how he would be fed that medicine.
And that's the end of One Night A Year (Book 1) and Part 1.
