Chapter 14: Our Little Secret

Previously on Lucy's Light...All life on Magnolia, humanity, wildlife and nature has died due to Ankhseram's wrath and his Curse of Contradictions brought upon Lucy's world and now...The past between, Lucy, Natsu, Mavis and Zeref shall unveil to Fairy Tail...

All eyes were now brought to Mavis' attention as she was about to tell everyone the story of Ankhseram's war, Lucy and Natsu's family connection and everything that was buried in the past would soon unearth into the present.

Mavis: I suppose now is the time for us to tell you the truth...The truth about us and a threat that comes upon us...

Laxus: Threat? What do you mean?

Zeref: It isn't easy to grasp the situation at first, but eventually you will. You see, you all know that Natsu and I are brothers, but did you know that our family had a connection with the Heartfilia, Lucy's family?

Gajeel: Wait what!?

Natsu: Lucy! Is this true!?

Lucy: Fortunately, yes. Mavis told me.

Natsu: What!?

Lucy: At first, I found it shocking but as Mavis and Zeref started telling me more. I finally realised what my childhood was missing.

Zeref: Our families were great friends and wizards, they got along quickly and often worked together.

Mavis: But as the days pass, an evil being took away that friendship and it tore the connection apart. That evil being was none other than a god of life and death. The god who cursed me and Zeref...Ankhseram...

Everyone started to shake as they listened, some were confused and lost and some were surprised to the story they were being told.

Wendy: Ankhseram..?

Natsu: Who is that?

Levy: I've read about him in my books but never have I imagined that he was actually real...

Freed: To think a praised god would come to be real, how strange..

Mavis: Ankhseram along with Acnologia took away the lives of Zeref's parents and other wizards who fought alongside.

Everyone shivered hearing Acnologia's name once again even though he was dead, Natsu was quickly reminded in his mind about Acnologia killing Igneel during the battle with Tartaros.

Zeref: This was during the event when the Eclipse project was conducted, Layla, Lucy's mother planned to use the door to go back in time along with five Dragon Slayers to defeat Acnologia and Ankhseram once and for all. But the door held terrifying power to which humanity feared. So Layla took it to herself to use her very life force to seal the door shut.

Lucy: After that, my mother died for using her life to shut Eclipse.

Mavis: And she asked me to remove Lucy's memory of everything that happened in the past..This was the story of how our families were together and how it ended shortly after...

Everyone was now sweating or became nervous after listening, Natsu was wide eyed and surprised to learn of his hidden past with Lucy. He looked down on the ground attempting to recollect his mind.

Zeref: Ever since then, Mavis and I went our separate ways only to meet each other again during Fairy Tail's creation. Mavis was cursed for saving her friend with incomplete black magic and I was cursed for trying to resurrect my family..

Mavis: I'm sure now Ankhseram is planning to bring down his war and power on us, as a punishment for humanity toying with life and death.

Lucy: And we must fight back, to end Ankhseram's wrath upon our world. We have to. For Mavis, Zeref and all of us. On our behalf, I ask of this to free Mavis and Zeref from his curse so they can live on..
