Dream was speeding her way through traffic, going damn near 95 on the highway, speeding past every car and switching lanes every 5 minutes. With August in the backseat, strapped tightly in his car seat, but still holding on to dear life.

"Mommy slow down we gonna get in a accident!" He screamed out to his frantic mother.

"Calm down August, I know what I'm doing we gotta get to where we going quick." She responded, trying to calm her son but still sounding panicked herself.

Within the next 12 minutes, They were speeding into the Grady's Memorial Hospital parking section. She didn't even bother trying to find a decent parking spot. She parked right outside the entry of the parking section. Dream jumped out the car, quickly got August out of his car seat and made her into the building through the Trauma unit. She carried her son on her hip as she ran into the hospital, stopping only for a second at the desk.

"WHAT ROOM IS IN BRANDON RIMMER IN?

She startled the woman at the desk.

"He's in 305 miss but I need some form of ID before you-''

The woman was cut off by Dream sprinting down the hall to room 305, following the signs posted on the walls that pointed her in the direction of 300 hall. When she got to the hall, she noticed there were about 4 or 5 doctors standing at the door, covered in blood and in their surgical outfits. Dream stopped dead in her tracks when she saw this.

She was now slowly walking down the hallway to room 305. When the doctors spotted her, holding her young son, the look on their face told her what she never wanted to face. One of the male doctors met her halfway and removed the surgical mask from his face.

"Ma'am, I'm so sorry to have to tell you this.." He started. But he stopped when Dream put August down and sat down on the bench in the hallway next to one of the rooms. She put her face in her hands and waited for him to tell her the inevitable.

"Brandon didn't make it. He was shot four times and 2 of the bullets penetrated the carotid arteries in his neck."

Dream broke down in hysterics before the doctor was even able to finish his sentence. Her cries could be heard all through the hallways of the Trauma Unit. Just as she felt her son come up and hug her she-

woke up.

Dream jolted up in her bed to see her TV playing Spongebob Squarepants. She took a deep sigh and looked over to her right to see her baby boy cuddling the purple octopus stuffed animal his Grandmother brought to the hospital for him when he was born, sleeping. She layed back on the bed and picked up her phone that was on charge to the left of her.
