T.C.’s POV:

“You shouldn’t have done that.” I said, not looking up at Dan.

“Do you think I care?” he shrugged, looking through his clothes for something to wear. He had just gotten out of the shower and was currently only covered by a towel.

“You should, Kevin already didn’t approve of your involvement in my life. There is no way he will still want to be with me.” I burried my face in my hands.

“Well, I don’t know why you would want to be with anyone like that anyway.” he said walking back into the bathroom to get dressed.

“I care about Kevin!” I said aggravated. “Don’t you respect that?”

“But you don’t love him.” Daniel entered the room, drying his hair with one of the fluffy why hotel towels.

“I didn’t say that.” I crossed my arms.

“Exactly. You didn’t say you loved him.” Daniel said, putting his watch on.

“You are the most pig-headed man I know.” I frowned at him.

“Don’t be mad at my for my honestly.” Daniel cracked a grin.

“I’m mad because you’re an idiot.” I scowled.

“Come one, Theo, admit it. You didn’t love him and you knew being with him was only hurting you. Besides, now you can hang out with me and you don’t have to hide it.” Daniel grabbed some yogurt from the hotel mini-fridge.

“I’m not admiting anything, and don’t call me Theo.” I said standing up and grabbing the yogurt from him. I was ravenous. He only smiled and grabbed a new yogurt.

    “T.C?” he asked.

“Yeah?” I responded as I sat back down on the bed.

“I really care about you, and I just want what its best for you.” He said sincerely. I looked up into he kind brown eyes.

“I know.” I hung my head. I was dirt, lower than dirt. Daniel has only been trying to help me and I’ve been pushing him away for a guy who doesn’t even really care about me. I had been so wrapped up in trying to keep Kevin, and trying to convience myself that he was the one for me that I have been hurting Daniel. The man I really want to be with. “I’m sorry.”

“For what?” he asked, sitting down beside me.

“For being so blind… and for treating you the way I have.” I said meeting his gaze.

“Oh.” he said softly. He stared at the wall, thinking for a moment. “I guess I can forgive you.”

“Thanks Daniel.” I said leaning my head against his shoulder.

“So, don’t you have like a million pages of data to look over before the race tomorrow?” He joked “You can make it up to me by helping me win.” friend zoned.

“Yeah. I do.” and I really did. I had been itching to look at the data, but I knew this was more important. I headed for the door.

“Do you need some company?” Daniel asked as I reached for the door knob. I glanced over my shoulder at the handsome Australian.

“Not tonight.” I shook my head and walked out the door.

Daniel’s POV:

“Two laps to go Daniel and Lewis at twelve seconds behind you. Keep pushing and don’t make any mistakes, you are in position to win.” T.C.’s voice came over the radio.
