Prologue

The stench of rotting corpse filled the air, yet being stuck in a car for 12 hours just because of the traffic and travelling doesn't help. Just when you think everything is right somewhere, well, that's just the case to say were going to a new town, or city, or country, or whatever. All I know is I've been around America and 2 different countries just because of my dad's job. Britain, Australia, and now for the past 3 years we've been in America, yet I can't wait for another 2 years to be out of it. Well, we, being my dad and little sister, mom hasn't been in the picture for 10 years, ever since the car accident, and then another 4 months in a coma. Why did everything become so complicated, however, I have a British accent, yet my sister had an Australia accent, just growing up in different countries maybe, or just that the way people talked was just how it was natural. Now after being from Ohio to Michigan to New York, which I liked and would have stayed yet to Mason City and Now to Atlanta, who knows, next 6 months from now we'll be in a new town, or new city, or maybe a new country all over again. The car was reeking of Old furniture, and there are leaves falling getting ready for Halloween. Although, just driving past school was hard enough. All the kids were just coming out of school, yet some of them looked at me through the window when driving by, couldn't get any worse. 889 Sandringham Dr, what a fancy address, for only a short time of course, then pack up again and move. I've been wanting to stop and settle just for at least 2 years but no, for then I won't even be allowed to graduate. I've already had to repeat a year, but I catch up so dad moved me to my senior year. Yet, last year and last time, and won't be here to graduate probably, it's been hard on my old man since my mother passed away, I guess Mae needs someone to look up to though. Mae, well, my terror of a sister is just what brings the pop to my corn, and she is everything I need in life. Pulling up into the skinny, dull driveway, the letter box was just the stand out. A brick letter box looking like an old Chimney part. No point putting a name on it though, just a waste of money and time. As soon as the car stopped, Mae was running out the car and was waiting for dad to open the thresh hold to our new home, of course, more like new place to live at the moment. I opened the door and briefly stretched, shoulders stooping over as I paced to the front door. It shades in ivory to white, yet I was hoping for irregular colours, somewhere of sorts of blue or yellow, and can't be red with red bricks and red house. Although it suited well for the house. One time back in New York, we lived at a house that was blue with a green door, I loved it so much I told dad that we couldn't leave without the door. That was when I was 14, and now well, another town, another school, new friends, and more to come.
