Surprisingly, the plane ride was quick and I did at one point forget the I was even on the plane. Jace had just picked me up from the airport and is explaining what I had to do. "So we'll go to the school tomorrow at six. The game officially starts at seven meaning that you will be singing at six fifty-ish."

Jace's school needed someone to replace Beyonce at their national basketball game.

I know. Small town girl, Mikayla King was acting in place of Queen Bey.

The nerves slowly kicked in. "How many people are gonna be there?"

"Roughly three thousand," he shrugged and I gulped. Jace glimpsed at me and smirked towards the road. "Bae, no reason to be nervous. I know you can do it." He said, caressing my thigh which instantly calmed me.

My eyes widened but I forced a smile once we released. "Yeah. Who are you? Who is she?" I look at Jace with that you better not be doing what I think you're doing look.

He rolled his eyes at that. "This is Lula."

I nodded slowly and turned to her. "Well....uhm, you're way prettier than I thought you were. I don't know why everyone is just prettier than me these days," I shrugged.

Lula giggled. "Well, I'll accept the compliment."

"Where is she?" I turn around and see a guy. He was probably two or three inches taller than Jace with brown straight and short hair and brown eyes. A lot of stubble on his chin as well. His eyes locked with mine and he came up and hugged me. "Mikayla!"

 "Mikayla!"
