Chapter 5

Bella's POV

Biology. Yay. Note sarcasm. I don't hate it or suck at it, it just gets boring after a long time of repeating it over and over again. I should probably be in a better mood since my lab partner was Edward Masen... Er... Cullen. That was going to take some getting used to.

"Anaphase." I said pushing the microscope over to Edward. He wrote it down, changed the slide an had a look through the lense even though he probably didn't need the microscope to tell what it was.

"Prophase." Edward said to me. I wrote it down on the sheet. It continued like this for the whole lesson.

Afterwards I had English and Edward had Maths. We were watching Romeo and Juiliet. I have already seen it (well it's pretty obvious, isn't it?) so I took this as an opportunity to text Edward. Whatever he was doing, he would have learnt before. 'Hey, things are pretty boring this side, how about you?' I hit send and put my phone in my pocket. I didn't have to wait long because soon after I sent that message he replied 'I don't think so, I LOVE calculus! No, seriously I'm bored too. Do you want to ditch?' The idea was very appealing but I couldn't ditch on my first day. 'Gasp! The very idea! Just kidding, I really want to but I can't ditch on first day, remember? Meet you at break.' I typed, finishing the conversation because I swear I saw Mr Berty looking my way a few times.

After school Edward and I hung out at a local park with a playset. The rest of the Cullens had gone home to drop the cars off and tell Dr Carlisle and his wife, Esme, what was going on and where they were going, so they would be joining us soon.

Edward sat down on the bench and motioned for me to aswell.

"So... Edward. Tell me about your human life." I said, not only to start a conversation but also because I was genuinely interested.

"Well," he began, "I was born in 1901, my parents named me after my dad; his name was Edward too, so we had Edward Snr and Edward Jnr. Life as a child was rather boring until, when I was six and I went o a park and met a beautiful girl." I felt a pang of jealousy, this girl must have been pretty special, he continued, "She had brown hair and chocolate brown eyes and a lovely smile. But the best thing about her was her personality." I gasped when I realized that he was talking about me, "I didn't see her again until 1917, but it was when we were fighting for life but slowly dying of the plague. Her parents died in 1918 and she didn't fight anymore. She died soon after. A month after her death and me wailing to die as well because my parents had both died too, the hospitals were becoming empty very quickly because the outbreaks of the plague were finally coming to an end. It was on my dying day that Dr Cullen came in and wheeled me out of the hospital. I thought he was taking me to the chambers were the dead are kept, until the were buried, so I tried to tell him I was still alive but he told me to hush and that he was taking me to his house. When we got there, I was slipping away, but my eyes were still open a little bit and he looked as if he was pondering something. Then he lent down and whispered into my ear 'I will save you'. I smiled, this was a funny joke but it wasn't very funny when he bit my neck. One bite was all it took to make me scream in pain, my neck was burning! I became a newborn vanpire and I was no longer Edward Masen; I was now Edward Cullen." He finished.

I was amazed, his story was amazing! Even as a ghost with brilliant reflexes, I was stunned. I new most of it but seeing it from his point of view really put things in perspective. He was amazing and... I loved him.

Volturi POV

"Our spies have come back with news, Masters Aro, Marcus and Caius." Demetri said, bowing down.

"Is a vampire in violation with the law?" Aro asked with keen interest and a creepy smile (A/N seriously, scares me everytime).

"Well not exactly, but it seems we will have to confront an old enemy." Demitri answered.

"Who?"

"The Ghoulturi."

"WHAT?!? OUTRAGE!! Who is responsible for this? Name and status!" Aro yelled. This was the forst time that Aro had gotten this mad in thousands of years.

"Edward Cullen, Vampire and Isabella Swan, Ghost."

"I want a full report on this and send the spies back out to Forks to keep and eye on Edward and this... Isabella."

"Yes master, right away master." Demetri said and hurried out of the throne room.

"Dear brothers, we may get a fight and a mind reading weapon. We may even get a young ghost lady to experiment on. With those two we will be invincible!" Aro laughed. "This shall be interesting indeed."

Meanwhile, in Ghoulterra...

Ghoulturi POV

"Isabella Swan? Her mother is already in trouble." Rickus said snarling. He despised humans an since Renée was engaged to one he naturally hated her and the rest of the Swans. Along with Phil.

"Yes, we have found that Isabella has moved to Forks, Washington, and has met a vampire that she knew when they were both were human." Marius said in a matter-of-factly tone.

"Ah yes, well, what is the relationship between them?"

"They are only friends but their love is growing quickly. If we do not stop it we may have to see the the Volturi again."

"A good and friendly relationship between a vampire and a ghost is not allowed, it clearly says in our law." Rickus said, "Too bad dear Isabella didn't read it."

They both laughed evilly.
