After discovering that her mother is still alive, Jeong-sae decides to recruit a private investigator through the consultation of Shin Kyu-won who is a member of the Board and is also her best friend. She recommends Park Eun-hyun, a fortunate yet humble detective which is one of the best in the business. Desperate, Jeong-sae agrees to the employment of Eun-hyun. In order to finalize the details, she schedules a meeting with him. Kyu-won immediately contacts Eun-hyun.
After informing Eun-hyun, Kyu-won tells her that he is vacant tomorrow afternoon and he requests that they should meet at the Lotte Cafe in Myeongdong.
*THE NEXT DAY*
After eating lunch, Jeong-sae decides to drop by at her office. She needs to get an important file which would help Eun-hyun in the investigation. While passing through the hallway, she hears some commotion right inside her father's office. She hears him talking with someone. She discovers that Jeong-sae's mother is asking him to meet her daughter. Instead of doing "what's right," he disapproves of it and decides to offer 20,000,000 won in exchange. Now, she becomes more committed to know the truth.
Finally, she arrives at her suite. She opens her drawer and picks up a file-folder. While doing so, she notices someone lurking at her window but at the blink of her eye, he disappears. She starts to suspect that her father knows about the planned investigation and wants her to stop it but she tells herself that she will do everything in order for her to be with her long-lost mother.
An hour later, she arrives at the meeting place. Unexpectedly, she remembers that Eun-hyun was her childhood friend. After knowing so, she runs to her and hugs him. She tells her that she missed him. He replies by saying the same thing. Now, she hands over the file to Eun-hyun. he tells her that he already started the investigation after Kyu-won contacting him and he has already gathered some information about her mother. He tells Jeong-sae that her name is Kim Seul-hyun and she is living alone in Busan after getting divorced by Kyung-min. Now, Jeong-sae asks herself why would her father file a divorce against her mother. Did she do something wrong or was it her father who did the wong move?
