Spiders and Ants can be Family

Chapter 4

With Tony
Tony looked at the suit.
"Oh god Peter. I'm so sorry."
Tony began walking towards the elevator, rubbing his red eyes.
Once Tony reached the Avengers' living room everyone (except Rhodey) were there. Standing/sitting, all looking at Tony with disappointment and concern in their faces.
"Tony, where did you go?" Steve asks.
"And what's in your hand?" Clint questions.
Tony threw the suit onto the coffee table along with the note.
"Read it." Tony grumbles.
After they read the note no one said anything. "Tony-" Natasha starts.
"No. Do not say it's not my fault. Because it is my fault that I snapped at him. My fault I called him those things. I'm just like my fucking old man." Tony says.
"Tony, I'm sure Peter will come back. Give him a few days. Maybe even a week. It'll always happens when you're a parent." Clint says trying to help with the situation.
"I don't care! It's all my fault that he left! Now there's no more Spider-Man! No more Peter Parker!" Tony shouts.
"Tony, Peter isn't dead. Stop blaming yourself." Natasha says.
"Yeah Tony, Pete will come back. If he doesn't we'll find him." Bruce says.
"Even if we find him he'll hate me!"
"Tony-" Steve starts.
"Forget it. I'll be in my lab."
Tony grabs the suit from the table and walks away. Leaving the note in Steve's hand.
"We should start looking for Peter." Cap says looking over the note again.
"Cap, Peter said he didn't want any of us to look for him. We should respect that." Wanda says.
"Still. I also feel like we should look for the kid." Sam says.
"Steve, you think this is a good idea?" Bruce asks turning to Steve.
"Well, no. He'll probably get mad at us. But, we should at least know he's safe." Steve answers.
No one disagreed this time.
"No objections now? Good. Nat, Bucky look through all of the CTV cameras and try to find where Peter was last and look into Ned. Sam, Thor, Wanda look for all the places Peter or Spider-Man would go to. Clint, Vision try to get the suit back from Tony and go through baby monitor protocol. Try to find if you can see where Peter went last and tell Rhodey what happened. Me and Bruce will ask Ned and try to see if anyone else knows about Spider-Man or Peter. Everyone good? Ok let's-"
"Wait, Cap. What do we do when we find out where he is?" Bruce questions.
"We'll ask him why he would want to permanently, stop being Spider-Man. Also do not force him into coming with us." Cap answers.
"Ok then."
The Avengers walk out of the living room to start their search.
"Cap, Nat just sent me everything they have on
Ned. He lives on ######## ####### #." (I didn't know what address to put in :^|.)
"Ok, let's head there. We'll go to May's after Ned's." Cap replies.
With Ned
"Peter, are you sure you're ok?" Ned asks.
"Yeah I'm fine. But, remember not to tell any of the Avengers where I am."
"I know, but why would Mr. Stark say stuff like that to you?"
"I don't know. Maybe he really was just after Spider-Man." Peter says sighing through the phone.
"Peter, someone's knocking on the door. Should I answer it?"
"Yeah, if it's the Avengers lie to them, please. I know you wouldn't want to lie your idols, but I don't want them to find me."
"Don't worry Peter. I already agreed to help you. Gotta go, they'll probably leave if I don't answer."
"Ok, bye Ned. I'll try to call you later."
Ned hangs up and slides his phone into his pocket. He walks to the door and braces himself to whoever is behind it.
"Hi son, do you know a Ned Leeds from this area?" Captain America asks.
"Th-that's me, sir." Ned somehow manages to stutter out trying not to fanboy.
"Well, do you know Peter Parker?" Bruce asks.
"Y-yes. Do you know where he is? Peter hasn't called me at all today, he was supposed to come over." Ned lies.
"Oh. So you haven't seen Peter at all." Steve asks squinting his eyes at Ned.
"N-no sir."
"Ok then. Thank you anyways. We'll inform you if we found him." Bruce says starting to walk away.
"Thanks son."
As soon as they begin walking Ned closes the door and slides down it.
"Oh fuck." He curses.
With Steve and Bruce
"Do you think Ned actually knows where Peter is?" Bruce questions Steve.
"Maybe. I have a feeling he does. He was stuttering in front of us. But, then again, we are international heroes." Steve answers.
Bruce shrugs, "I don't know, but we still have May to question."
"Ok let's head there." Steve says.
Bruce suddenly stopped walking, "Wait. May's not here, she's on her vacation."
Steve groans and runs a hand through his hair.
"Lets go there anyways. I remember Peter telling me where he hid the spare key. We can go in and see if he was there."
Time Skip to the Apartment
Steve was pulling a key from underneath the 'Welcome' mat. (Very basic I know.) Steve shoved the key into the door and pulled it open. It was dark inside the small apartment.
"Where should we start?" Bruce asks.
"You look around Peter's room and try to see if he was ever here. I'll look if there're any cameras pointing towards Peter's window, and try to see we can see what direction Peter went if he came here." He answers.
With Bruce
Bruce walked into Peter's bedroom and saw pieces of Stark technology on the desk or floor.
"Uh, Cap. Might wanna notify the others." Bruce calls out.
"What, why?" Steve says running into the room.
"All the ways to contact, track, and all the other ways Tony made to to watch Peter are here."
"Are you kidding me. He even found the tracker Clint hid in his suit. Just how in the world did he find it?" 'Clint said he hid in a spot not even with Sam's goggles you can't find it. He's a spy for Pete's sake!' Steve thought.
"Well this was pointless." Bruce says tiredly.
"Did you find any cameras though?"
"No. Peter must've turned them away from this direction when he first became Spider-Man." Steve groans out.
"Well then, let's head back to the tower." Bruce mumbles before walking away.
Time Skip to the Tower
"Bruce, Steve find anything?" Clint questions from the couch.
"No. All we found were all the trackers in his suit. Including the one you put in Clint." Bruce answers before tossing the tracker to Clint.
Who caught it effortlessly.
"How in the hell did he find it?!" Clint says raising his eyebrows.
"Why'd you put a tracker in his suit?" Sam asks the still surprised archer.
"Anyways, all we found was that the last place Peter and Spider-Man were last spotted. In Hank Pym's house. We wanted to wait till you guys came back before all of us went there." Natasha states in a monotone voice.
"Clint, Vision, did you get the suit back?" Steve questions them.
"No. Mr. Stark wouldn't even open the door to his lab. Mr. Barton tried to go through the air vents but they were closed off." The android answered.
"Ok then let's go." Cap replies.
"Nat, start the quinjet." Bruce grumbles.
(Bruce seems annoyed cause Hulk's angry at Tony. And y'all know what would happen if the Hulk was out and mad at Tony.)
Time Skip to the Pym House
"You would think someone who's a millionaire would live in a bigger house." Clint mumbles.
"Let's go. We should see if anyone's here. Remember they have Ant-Man with them, so don't start a fight. Understand?" Nat says in a cold voice.
Everyone nodded nervously.
The Avengers stepped out, (Thor decided to go with them instead of flying on his own.)Thankfully no one was out on the sidewalk.
Steve walked onto the porch with Natasha a little bit behind him. He knocked. No answer.
He knocked harder. Still, no answer. Steve began pounding on the door. No answer.
"Steve, move." Natasha demanded.
She pulled something from her pocket, stuck it onto the door. It clicked open.
The Avengers piled into the house. No one was inside.
"Everyone look around. Just be careful." Steve says quietly.
Time Skip
"Guys, I found something." Wanda says through the com.
The Avengers entered what appeared to be a small lab. There were ant farms everywhere. But empty. There were also a few empty drawers and cabinets.
"What is this place?" Sam asks to no one particularly.
"I think it's that Hank's lab. Maybe he was the one who made the suit." Bucky wonders.
"Vision, can you go through the computer. Download everything in it." Steve says.
"Widows of the Black, shall we take some of the objects here back to the tower?" Asks the Norse god.
"I think we should. Let's start loading everything." Nat answers back.
Time Skip to After Loading
"Mr. Rodgers, I have finished downloading everything." the android announces.
"Ok, can you project it?" Steve asks Vision.
"Yes." As he said that, a projection came on.
All the Avengers gathered around the projection. Tension filled the air. No one knew what to expect.
"Uhh, Vision, nothing's coming on." Clint says.
"That is because there was nothing on the computer Mr. Barton." the android admits.
"Were you able to recover anything that were deleted?" Clint asks.
"Everything was wiped off the computer."
"Let's settle this back at the tower. We have to tell Tony about this."'Cap says before walking back to the jet, with everyone following pursuit.
With Peter
"Here we are Peter!" Shuri exclaims from the front of the jet.
Peter stood up and walked to the front and looked out the window.
"Welcome to Wakanda!" Shuri shouts.

A/N: So that's the end of chapter 4 for this fic. So sorry for the late update. School's a bitch. Anyways, holy shit. 132 reads! I know that's not a lot compared to other stories, but I was surprised people actually read this. Well other then that thank you for reading and I'll see y'all in the next chapter!
