A few hours after doing patrol, Recluse decided to head back to the house.
Back at the House
"Hey, guys! I'm back!" Peter shouted from the front door.
"Hey Pete, how was patrol?" Scott asked from the kitchen.
"Hello, Peter," Hope said not looking up from her book.
"Welcome back Peter." Hope greeted from the counter.
"It was good. Stopped a few muggings and break-ins." Peter responded.
"Oh yeah! I found out the Avengers are gonna try to get me to register with S.H.I.E.L.D." He finished.
Scott nearly spit out his drink, Hope peered up from her book, and Hank stood up from the counter's chair.
"Peter, how did you find out?" Hank asked.
"Well, I paid the Avengers a visit," Peter answered.
"What!" All of them shouted. Peter winced for the loudness.
"Guys, I snuck in by shrinking. I also used the setting Shuri made so I wouldn't be detected."
Hank, Scott, and Hope released a sigh of relief.
"Do you know why they want you to register?" Scott questioned.
"I recorded the meeting. Here I'll show you."
Peter set his mask down onto the counter and pulled up the recording.
After the Recording
"We've only been here for one god damn week, and they're already trying to find out your identity," Scott grumbles.
"It's fine Scott, Peter can manage himself. And I know he'll call us for help if he needs it," Hope continued, "Right Peter?"
"Y-y-yes I would," Peter says nervously. He thought Hope is one of those people you really should not cross, only if you have a death wish.
"Peter, try to lay low on patrol from now on. I would recommend not talking. Only if needed. One of them could be recording and could trace your voice. And start small. We don't want you to get hurt." Hank says caringly.
"Ok. But, what if I do run into them?"
"Only engage if you have no choice. Other than that, shrink. Turn on the invisibility setting." Hank answers.
After a bit of chatting, Peter decided to head to bed for the day.
Next Morning
Peter stiffly walked down the stairs, yawning loudly.
"Mornin' everyone," he grumbled.
"Good morning Peter, how'd you sleep?" Hope asks not turning away from the stove.
"Not enough." He answers back.
"Hey, where's Scott and Hank?" Peter asks.
"Oh, they wanted to keep looking for a place that's suitable for us to train."
"They still haven't found one yet?"
"Well, it's kinda hard to find a place where a man that can shrink and ride ants, a lady that shrink and flies, and now a spider-kid that can now shrink too can train. Sounds kinda hard don't you think?"
"Guess you're right."
The two sat in a comfortable silence. The only sound was the sizzling of the bacon on the stove.
By the time Scott and Hank returned, the breakfast was finished and placed on the table.
"Welcome back Scott, Dad." Hope greeted.
"Hey, guys," Peter said.
"We finally found a place where we can train. It's far but it's worth it." Scott announces.
"Really! Could we go there later?" Peter asks eagerly.
"Of course Peter. Eat first though." Hank says.
"Hey, guys?" Peter suddenly says during the silent breakfast.
"Yes, Peter?" Hope answers.
"Today's Saturday right?" Everyone nodded.
"Well, I was wondering. Do you guys think, I could, maybe, go met up with my friend. He knows about Spider-Man and about what happened with Mr. Stark. It's fine if I can't, but could I maybe?" Peter finishes quickly.
Hank, Hope, and Scott stared at the embarrassed teenager.
"Pete, you can do whatever you want! Go meet up with your friend! I'm sure they would be happy to see you're back!" Scott says cheerfully.
"R-r-really?"
"Of course Peter," Hank told the teenager smiling.
"Go, Peter, you're basically done with your breakfast so just go," Hope said before standing up and grabbing Peter's plate and putting it by the sink.
Peter jumped out his seat and ran to the basement door. He emerged from the stairwell in his Recluse suit.
"Bye guys! I'll be back tonight! Love Ya!" He shouted before slamming the front door.
"I should really tell the kid to stop slamming the front door," Scott says to himself.
Peter ran to the side of the road and set the spider container down and pulled on his mask. Then became the infamous Spider-Man Imposer. Though his name is Recluse.
He pressed his middle finger to his palm and he began to shrink. Recluse went up to the container and opened the hatch. The spider crawled out and Recluse jumped onto the back of the spider. The spider began ballooning. Recluse guided it towards the apartment he used to go to almost every day before becoming Spider-Man. He shudders at the thought of his old alter-ego.
The spider land on the window sill of the one and only Ned Leeds. Recluse jumped off the spider and ran towards the closed window. He slid his hands underneath and pulled the window up slightly. Recluse crawled under and looked around the room. It looks the same. Just messier and had more unbuilt legos laying around. No one was in the room.
'Perfect.' Recluse thought.
He jumped off the window sill and onto the desk. The time on his mask said it was 12:45 in the afternoon. Now to just wait for his guy in the chair to return from where ever he went to.
About an hour later Recluse heard rummaging from the front door of the apartment.
"Man, they didn't have the LEGO!" He heard through the door.
The door of the room opened and Ned Leeds entered.
"Guess I could build the other legos. Wish Peter was still here though." Ned mumbles.
Recluse jumped off the LEGO he was sitting on onto the floor. He pressed the growth button the grew to normal size.
"Hello, Ned Leeds." The Spider-Man Imposer said in a distorted voice.
"W-w-what! W-w-why are you here!" Ned said jumping out of his chair.
Recluse pressed the shrink button and moved to another part of the room to grow again.
"W-w-where'd he g-g-go?" Ned says nervously.
"Oh, I'm over here." Recluse grew again.
"Get out of here you Spider-Man Imposer!" Ned shouts as he grabs the nearby chair. Recluse shot a web to the ceiling to hang upside down.
"What! I thought you were my guy in the chair! Come on Ned!"
"W-wait. P-peter? Is that you?" Ned asks suspiciously walking up to the vigilante still holding the chair.
"Yeah. Ya got me." Recluse pulled off his mask and became the missing Peter Parker.
"Oh my god. You're the Spider-Man Imposer." Ned whispers and lowers the chiar.
"Do you think you would not call me that. It's Recluse. And how could I be the Spider-Man Imposer if I was Spider-Man?"
"Well, because people don't know you were Spider-Man they think you're copying him because of the webs," Ned admits.
"Really? Just because of the webs?"
"Well and the eyes."
Peter shrugs.
"Anyways," Ned hugged Peter, "dude I missed you."
"Me too."
"But honestly what the fuck."
After their friend reunion, Ned finally asked where he got his suit.
After Explaining Where and How He Got the Suit (Doesn't Know Peter Can Shrink)
"That's so cool Peter!" Ned exclaimed.
"But, how'd you like, appear and reappear out of nowhere?"
"You wanna see," Peter says smirking. Ned nods eagerly. He pulled his mask back on and raised his right hand. Peter pressed the button with his middle finger and 'disappeared.'
"Peter? Where'd you go?"
"I'm down here!" Peter yells from onto of unbuilt LEGO set.
"Where?"
"Look down!" As Peter shouted that, he threw a LEGO piece at Ned's forehead. "yeet."
"Ow!" He rubbed his forehead. Ned looked down from where the LEGO came from.
"Oh my- Peter can you shrink?"
"I can." Peter grew back to normal size.
"So you're like Ant-Man? But like a spider?"
"I guess you could say that," Peter said smiling.
After a few hours of talking and building LEGOs, Peter decided to head back to the house.
"When can you come over again?" Ned asks.
"I think maybe next week. Depends on what I'm doing. Or if I can." Peter says shrugging.
"Please be careful on patrol Peter. And don't worry about the Avengers. Also, do you think you'll ever face them?"
"I don't know Ned. I still love them and think of them as my family, but I... I just really don't know if i can go back to them and act like it was the same as before. It could never be the same."
Ned sighs. "If you dont feel comfortable speaking with them you don't have to, no one who loves you will force you.."
"Thanks, ned, I needed that." He starts to walk toward the window, "Welp, I better get going. See you later." Peter shrink down and dashed to the window. He jumped onto the back of his spider. Peter waved back to Ned and flew away. Ned waved back and shut his window.
"Its good to have you back Peter."
Time Skip
Recluse decided to take a break, after stopping a few muggings and rape attempts. He landed on a tall building and jumped off the spider's back. Recluse grew to normal size and walked to the edge of the building. He heard heavy clunks of metal from behind him. Recluse got prepared for a potential fight. Until the person spoke up.
"Hello, Recluse."TBC
A/N
There we have have it. The next chapter! I this week was hell. There's a flu bug going around in my school district and all 4 of my siblings including me. Then everyone in my house got sick except my dad. Anyways, this fic is so close to 1000 reads. Holy shit. That's a lot! Thank you guys so much for all the reads.
(Also, I chose Recluse because it is a small spider. And really strong and very venomous. That's why I chose it. Peter is alone. Though he has Hank, Hope, Scott, and Ned now included. Yet he feels alone.) Other then that, Love y'all!
