                                                                  Stacey’s POV

“What a summer.” I said. The summer’s over already and I’m enjoying the last day relaxing by the pool before Arianna and me start our first day of college tomorrow. “I was just glad after the first couple of weeks I could finally enjoy it without babysitting.” Arianna said.

“Yeah speaking of babysitting remember when I was throwing that really awesome party and I helped you babysit because I was practically watching my sister cheat on Austin.” I said.

“Yeah sure we watched your talent show video like a million times.” Arianna said. “Well when we were watching the change-up I told your sister she could take your car and go to the party as long as she didn’t drink.” I said.

“Yeah I know.” Arianna said. “What seriously?” I asked. “Yeah my sister’s not exactly keen on remembering things so she just left my keys on the table when she got back, I saw them asked her about it and she cracked.” Arianna said with a laugh.

“And that is why we are best friends.” I said as we clapped our soda cans together in a toast. “Um hey Stacey,” Justin said. “Hi Justin.” I said. “I wanted to apologize for after prom I shouldn’t have dumped you that way it was unkind.” Justin said,

“It took you the whole summer to apologize even after my brother and his friends kicked your ass?” I asked.

“You knew about that?” Justin asked. “No, after the party ended and I got back to my house my sister told me in her drunken tired voice.” I said.

“Oh well are you busy Friday night?” Justin said. “Are you for real?” I asked. “Huh?” Justin asked. “We go to prom together, you try and make me sleep with you, I tell you I’m abstinent, you dump me, my brother kicks your ass for dumping me, yet you still want to date me, where’s the logic in that?” I asked.

“Does there have to be any, I mean I like you Stacey isn’t that enough?” Justin asked. “Raincheck?” I said. “Of course.” Justin said walking away. “You’re not seriously going back out with that jackass are you?” Arianna asked.

“He seemed sincere.” I said as we were cleaning up our stuff. “I know you see the best in people Stace but that’s just ridiculous he has no best side.” Arianna said as I dropped her off at her house.

“Welcome to U of M!” I said to Arianna as we drove into the parking lot. What had happened was we each wanted to take our own cars there so we were face-timing as we drove there together. She of course was following me because my car has a GPS.

“Let’s see our dorm!” Arianna said excitedly as we grabbed a couple suitcases of our suitcase and brought in what we could. “This place is awesome!” I said tossing my suitcase on one of the beds.

It was quite cute you walk in and if you look straight ahead you have a closet. Then walking to the closet and if you turned you have a bed then a desk next to it, then another desk, and next to that a second bed.

“No way Stacey this is a walk-in closet!” Arianna squealed in delight. “Relax Arianna it’s just a closet.” I said plopping on the bed I chose.

“You might want to see it before you say that.” Arianna said poking her head around the wall before you go in the closet.

“Alright why is it so, oh my god this closet’s huge!” I said. “I know!” Arianna said as her phone went off. “Hello, yeah Mom we got here fine, yeah Mom it’s a great place…” she was saying as she walked out the room on her phone only to have my phone ring.
