22- The Truth

“Enough about Henry, we’re here to get the story on you two, well mostly Stacey.” Steve said as we all laughed.

“What do you want to know?” I asked. “Are you two dating or not?” Steve asked as the picture of me kissing Stacey came up on the back screen.

“We are NOT dating.” Stacey said making sure to emphasize the not part of the sentence. “Well then what are you doing in LA if you aren’t visiting your boyfriend?” Steve asked.

“I believe that’s my question,” I said as we all laughed again. “Stacey is my protégé, her manager tweeted me a video of her singing and I thought her voice was to amazing to be wasted.” I said.

“Will you sing for us?” Steve asked. “She’d love to sing for you but only after the interview’s over but I’m going to have to head out I’m a very busy man, Steve it’s always great I’d love to perform next time you have me so thank you for having me and Stacey I’ll see you at the airport, bye everyone.” I said as I hugged her with one arm and walked out.

                                                                    Stacey’s POV

“What a nice kid, we’ll be back right after this.” Steve said as we went to commercial. “Back in ten minutes everyone!” the director called. “That was so good Stace, you looked so calm and confident I’m impressed.” Arianna said.

“I think I’m going to be sick.” I said as I ran to the bathroom. TEN MINUTES LATER “Back in one minute people, where’s Stacey!” the director said. “Right here, sorry.” I said as I went to sit back on my spot on the couch.

“Here,” Arianna said as she handed me a bottle of water. “What’s this for?” I asked as I took a sip. “There isn’t another commercial if you feel sick drink some I put in some powder that’ll make you feel better.” Arianna said.

“What you’re going to drug me for my interview?” I asked. “Its pink lemonade, you always relax yourself with pink lemonade.” Arianna said.

“Thank you.” I said as I took another sip. “Alright live in 5, 4, 3, 2, action!” the director shouted as the on air lights came back on.

“We’re back with Stacey, so Stacey you’re not dating Cody Simpson.” Steve said. “No I am not.” I said. “Why’d he go in your hotel room, did you sleep with him, did he make you sleep with him, did you want to sleep with him?” Steve asked right after each other and in about five seconds.

“What, no, we had dinner with his manager, the limo dropped us off back at my hotel, we watched TV, then he left there was no sex involved at any point.” I said.

“Then why’d you look so sad when he left?” Steve asked as a picture of me sad came on the back screen. “You want to know the truth?” I asked. “We do.” Steve said.

“My manager and Cody’s little sister dumped us at the hotel after dinner with Shawn Campbell and we went up to my room to watch TV like I said but I had asked him why he hasn’t had an American girlfriend since he’d been here and he said that it was because he hadn’t found the right girl then he was saying how he thinks I’m the right girl for him and after he tried to kiss me I kicked him out.” I said.

“That’s harsh.” Steve said as we both laughed. “But as I was watching him leave I was sad because I actually did want to kiss him.” I said.

“But you didn’t though, why?” Steve asked. “I told this to the paparazzi, I told this to Sel and Tay yesterday and now I’ll tell it to you Steve, sure it’s every fans dream to date Cody Simpson, but the fans always forget Cody’s a superstar and superstars don’t date small town girls like me.” I said.

“Is that why your first single is a cover of Superstar by Taylor Swift because it relates that much to you?” Steve asked.

“That pretty much covers it plus I don’t have a creative bone in my body.” I said as we both laughed. “Well let’s hear it; this is Stacey the newest production of Atlantic Records singing a cover of Taylor Swift’s song ‘Superstar’ to be out, when is you’re single going to be released?” Steve asked.

“I was told September 29th.” I said with a smile
