Chapter Five - Mastering the Elements

I shot two fireballs, they exploded on Scarlett and I ran through the fog, charging a fireball in my hand. I saw Scarlett and I blasted the fireball on her stomach. She flew backwards and hit the wall. I made a fire tornado and trapped her inside. I felt her trying to push it away. I used my air magic to strengthen the fire and collapse it on her. There was a huge explosion and there was smoke in the air. I walked to where she was and the smoke cleared. She was gone, I turned around and too late. Her fists were surrounded in fire and she punched my cheek and stomach. I flew backwards and stopped myself with air before I hit the wall. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I opened my eyes and raised my hands. The room suddenly became cold and a strong wind filled the room. I pushed at the air and Scarlett flew backwards. She hit the wall and I flew her to the other wall. I stopped her in the middle of the room and slammed her on the floor. The wind slowly disappeared and the room temperature started rising. I held down Scarlett with the air and knelled down. 

'That was fun.' I said.

'Defiantly.' She said. I lifted her up with air and she landed on her feet. She fell to her knees and I caught her.

'Too far?' I asked.

'Too far.' She said. I carried her to the bed and laid her down. 

'Rest for now.' I said and she closed her eyes.

'I'm so sorry. I got carried away. It won't happen again.' I said.

'You have to learn to control your power. Or else who knows what could happen.' Orion said and I realized Scarlett was fast asleep.

'You're right. So where can I find a water Sage?' I asked.

'Calm down. With all that wind and fire I heard guards walked past, you're lucky they didn't find us.' He said.

'We need to find a battlefield. An empty place away from the city.' I said.

'We'll find one when you and Scarlett get up.' He said.

'Yeah, I need some sleep too. Where's Thea by the way?' I asked.

'Buying food. I gave her some money.' He said. I fell on the couch and fell asleep.

'Psst. Kypher. Kypher wake up.' I heard Scarlett whisper. I opened my eyes and looked around.

'What?' I asked.

'Keep your voice down. There's guards right outside, their checking out the wall. I think they found us.' She said.

'Where's Orion and Thea?' I asked.

'No clue. Should we knock them out or what?' She said.

'OK, we'll reach out our hands, grab them and knock them out here.' I said. I got off the couch and walked to the entrance. I held three fingers up and when I made a fist we pulled them through. I got rid of the oxygen in the air around them until they fell asleep. I restored the oxygen and moved away. Orion and Thea walked through the door and looked at the guards.

'What happened?' Orion asked.

'Well they found out we were here and we knocked them out.' I said.

'Kill them.' Orion said.

'What for?' I asked.

'They know where they are. They can tell other people when they wake up.' He said.

'Alright.' I mumbled. I summoned two fireballs and pointed them to each guard. I looked away and fired. I looked back and there was just two piles of ashes.

'Ah screw them man, they wanted to kill us anyway.' Orion said.

'Yeah you're right.' I said. I summoned a breeze of wind and blew them out the wall.
