How is his accent so attractive?

Holy shit, how have I just now realized how handsome he is?

I swear... the next time he calls me 'lass'-

"Aye, lass, you might want to quit biting your lip," Brynjolf said, stopping my thoughts.

"Huh? W-what were we talking 'bout?" I asked sheepishly, shaking my head lightly to completely rid my mind of those thoughts.

He chuckled before continuing, "We were talking about the Goldenglow Estate job, lass..."

I coughed a little, "Right, right. I, er... can we recap what I need to do there real quick?"

Brynjolf re-explained what I needed to do, then sent me to talk to Tonilia (and Delvin and Vex).

Feeling determined to show Mercer that I was a reliable asset to the guild, and happy about my new set of armor, I set out to the location.

/ Time Skip bc we all know how Goldenglow goes...\

I returned to the guild, feeling rather worn out, but happy to have completed the job successfully. After climbing down the hidden entrance, I walked up to Brynjolf with a small smile upon my face.

"Word on the street is Goldenglow's been hit. Good job, lass," Brynjolf greeted with a smile.

"Word has already gotten around that quick? Huh... anyway, here's what was in the safe," I replied, pulling the note out of my pocket. There were a few creases in the paper, but other than that, it wasn't damaged.

Brynjolf took the paper, "Let me take a look at what you found." His eyes skimmed the paper, the look of displeasure appearing. "Aringoth sold Goldenglow? What's that idiot thinking?"

He scoffed, "He has no idea the extent of Maven's fury when she's been cut out of a deal, but I'm certain he'll find out. Gah... if only this parchment had the buyer's name instead of this odd symbol. Any idea what that might be?"

I shrugged my shoulders, "No idea."

He sighed, "Blast. Well, I'll check my sources and speak to Mercer. But for now, you're off to speak to Maven Black-Briar in the Bee and Barb. She's asked for you by name."

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion, "I thought I did the job as you asked...?"

He waved a hand, "Oh, no. Nothing like that. You're calling on her for business."

"Oh, ok. What does Maven want from me?"

"That's between you and Maven and I prefer to keep it that way. However, don't worry about it. Maven's business dealings usually involve quite a bit of gold for her people."

I crossed my arms, leaning on one leg. A sly smirk appeared on my face, "Speaking of which..."

"Ah, of course... your pay. Haha, you're smart as a whip, lass," He handed me heavy coin purse, earning a greedy smile from me.

"Also, excellent work on completing Goldenglow. You've done something Vex couldn't so I gotta say, I'm impressed, lass. You keep doing right by us and there's plenty more where that came from," Brynjolf smirked, adding a wink. He then turned away to go talk to Mercer about the note.

I couldn't help but blush a bit, those thoughts from earlier returning. I shook my head, a sly smile on my face as I exited the cistern.

Hopefully, this was at least an alright one! I know this has very little flirtation in it, but I wanted it to be realistic considering the Goldenglow Estate job is 'round about before you know Brynjolf all that much. And since this little to no fluff nor flirting in it, I was thinking about making a part two! Let me know what you think :)
