By the end of the school day, all I could think about was how I was going to tell them what I had found and try to convince them that it wasn't me that wrote it. But me, an invisible girl talking to the hottest most popular group of detectives of the school. It was a silly imagination but, it was reality. The only question I had to worry about was, will they believe me?
6:30 quickly approached. As I stood outside of the diner, building up the courage to actually go in side. I quietly spoke to myself, what I had planned to say. Slowly but surely I made my way inside. I was hit in the face by the amazing smell of the food in the diner. The sudden outburst of smells made me hungry. It was heavenly. Mum used to bring me and Becca here before she left. It was our favourite place. Fridays nights were our nights here. We'd stay here until closing time, whilst dad was still at work. It was the best nights we had spent together. The three of us girls talking about girly things.
When I looked around the diner I saw that they were already here:
Vanessa, the raven haired girl who had more money than friends but didn't seem to flaunt it.
Noah the somewhat hot one. Okay I lie, he's super hot. Probably one of the hottest people in the school. Everyone knew that he had had a fling with almost every girl in the school. Why I wasn't one of the lucky ones I don't know.
Christopher, if anyone could make looking nerdy hot it was definitely Christopher. Thing was he wasn't actually a nerd.
And Bethany the surprisingly, pretty smart blonde girl. She has more secrets than friends. A bit like Vanessa with her money. As soon as I was in arms length of the 4, Christopher was the first to speak to me.
"Hey Tori, do you gonna tell us?" Hold up. Did he just call me Tori and not Victoria. That's a first. I give him a weird look before another voice speaks.
"Let her sit down first Chris" Noah smiles at me. His smile so undeniably charming.
"Sorry" I was shocked to actually hear Christopher apologies to both me and Noah.
I took a seat besides Christopher. And with that I began speaking. Trying my hardest to sound as if I wasn't shaking.
"Okay, considering none of us have ever actually spoke before, I have something that you guys might need to see". To myself I sounded pretty confident. To the others I probably didn't, but I pushed that thought to the back of my head. Both Vanessa and Bethany look at me with interest showing on their faces. "So, I was in the library today at lunch just like any other normal day for me. As the bell rang at the end of lunch I went to put one of my books back on the shelf when I came across this. It's some sort of diary but there aren't any diary entries wrote in it. However, there is something on one page" I began explaining, as I show them all the pink diary. All their attention was drawn to this little pink book. Who knew such a small diary could posses so much power."Can we see the page?" Vanessa asked. I smiled at her probably because I was more taken aback by the fact that she being a highly popular girl actually had manners. I respect that.
I open the diary to the very middle where the page read: "he took her. He had a gun. He said he was going to kill her if I tell. He said he would kill me"
I allow them all to read it. As each of them read the page, all of their faces show the exact same reaction. Shock? Horror? Confusion?
"So whoever wrote this, saw someone being taken by some man who had a gun but they didn't leave a name in the diary and there's nothing else written in this book to know who wrote this" Noah began reciting back what he had read from the very small note.
