Mrs R was right. It didn't help. There were loads of girls in the school with green eyes, it was to hard to distinguish just one of them. What was I supposed to do? Line up every green eyed girl in Hillside High and ask who had lost a pink diary in the school library. Though it would be helpful, it would be too time consuming to find out who had green eyes. And who would be sure that all the green eyes people were at school on the same day. It was too stupid of an idea.
Just then Noah walked into the library. He smiled to Mrs R, who now gave me "the look" as if to say 'who is this handsome young man'. I tried to hide my smile because I knew what Mrs R was thinking and she was very wrong. Me and Noah are not a thing. We will never be a thing. Although I did tell her once that I had a huge crush on him but that was ages ago. Now I don't.
"Tori, aren't you coming to sit with us?" He asked. I looked at him shaking my head, asking him for some kind of explanation. Apparently now that I am officially apart of their group, I can sit with them during lunch. After understanding this, I bid goodbye to Mrs Rodriguez, who had a huge smile on her face. Before I left, I turned back to face her and shook my head but there was no chance that her smile was going to leave her face. It remained there.
Outside, we sat at a table everyone talking about different things. I should have probably told them about the girl looking for the diary but here was too much of a risk. Anyone could over hear and go back around the school telling everyone.
"Tori, I think you should let me and Beth give you a makeover for school tomorrow" V suddenly says. I furrow my eyebrows at her. Me and makeup do not go together. Both V and Beth are basically Models with a capital M. They can pull off any kind of look. They're beautiful. And then there's me. I look like a homeless crack addict. My hair is untameable, most days I just throw it up into a classic ponytail, and I usually wear jeans and at shirt to school. My school uniform.
"It'll look good. You'll get attention for once. Besides it's good to spice things up sometimes" V explains. A smile planted on her face."I love the offer V but me and makeup don't go. I don't want attention either. I'm not pretty like you and Beth" I reply. Trying to turn the offer down.
"Now you listen to me Tori, you are beautiful, don't ever tell yourself you are not. I will speak to your dad and you can stop at mine tonight. That way we can get up and glam you up before school and you can't back out." I sigh at her, but agree. I only agree because I know for sure my dad wouldn't let me. He even said that he don't want me hanging around them last night, which I haven't actually mentioned to them but they don't need to know that.
At the end of lunch I had a free period. Which is good, as I could have gone to the library and studied Korean for my dad, but instead I got dragged on this thing with Chris and Beth. Rumour has it that these two once had a kiss in a hot tub, but they had to break up because of some unknown reasons. We were outside Principle Smith's office when the sheriff walked out of the office. The three of us all looked at each other with the same thought in mind "WHAT THE FUCK?!"
"Principle Smith, can we ask you something?" Chris asked. He hadn't even been invited into the office he just walked straight in, with me and Beth hot on his heels. Chris didn't wait for a reply off of Principle Smith either he simply asked away. "When will the vending machine be fixed in the lounge room?"
I could have very easily killed Chris right there in front of Principle Smith and Beth. He seriously dragged me away from the library, away from my free time to come with him to ask the Principle when the damn vending machine was going to be fixed?
