Jack's POV

"Mom, i'm fine. It's just a few stitches. You know i've been through worse." Eva's voice said.

My eyes opened as i sat up looking around the room. The sun shines through the big glass window. Eva turned around looking at me.

"Oh, Jack's awake. I'll call you later." Eva said before hanging up the phone.

"What time is it?" I stretched and yawned at the same time.

Eva looked at her phone again. "1:30."

I looked at her surprised. "Why didn't you wake me up?"

"You were so tired last night. I didn't want to wake you up." Eva said while climbing into bed with me.

"How did I even get up here? Last thing I remember was falling asleep in the car." I chuckled.

"I carried you." Eva said in a 'duh' tone.

"But your arm." I rushed making sure she was okay.

"Jack i'm fine." Eva smiled. I mirrored her smile.

She makes me so happy. I never thought that someone could make me this happy in life. Sure, she has some baggage with her mom, and her attitude gets annoying sometime, but she is perfect.

"Babeeee." She whined as her fingers snapped in my face.

"Sorry i spaced out for a moment." I said wiping my tired eyes.

i yawned still not fully awake. "what are we doing today?"

"you said you were going to take me to my house so i can pack a bag." eva reminded me making nod. "and so i can talk to emilio."

she mumbled the last part thinking i wouldn't hear. but i definitely heard. "what was that last part?"

"so i can go talk to emilio." eva repeated making me scoff.

"over my dead body." i grumbled getting out of bed to go take a shower.

"jack, please!" eva followed me, begging.

i rolled my eyes. she's funny for thinking i'm going to let her see a guy that tried to kill her.

"eva, i already said no." i said shutting the door in her face.

i felt like a parent telling there child no. she doesn't understand that i'm doing this for her safety.

i turned on the shower and stepped in. the hot water ran down my back making my muscles relax.

after 15 minutes i got out of the shower and wrapped a dry, fluffy towel around my waist. i grabbed another towel and started drying my hair.

"babe, are you ready?" i called out not getting a response. "eva." i repeated opening the door.

she was laying under the covers. i knew she was awake because it takes longer then 15 minutes for her to fall asleep.

i chucked my damp hair towel at her and laughed as it landed on her head. she was quick to throw the towel on the bed.

"leave me the fuck alone." she snapped making my eyebrows furrow.

"babbyyy." i dragged out going to her side of the bed.

i immediately regretted it when she pushed me away and yelled. "¡dije, 'déjame solo la mierda', sobreprotectora polla! (i said 'leave me the fuck alone' you overprotective dick!)"

you can tell when she is mad when she starts cussing you out in spanish. i put my hands up in defense not wanting to anger her anymore.

"lo siento. (i'm sorry)" eva took a deep breath. "i'm sorry, i mean."

"it's okay, baby. we can see emilio later but only for a little. i don't want him to try something else." i said brushing her hair out of her face. "lets go."

Eva's POV

we showed up at my house an hour later. emilio's car was thankfully in the drive way meaning he was there.

i unbuckled my seatbelt and jack did the same before i stopped him.

"jack, please, let me go by myself." i pleaded.

emilio would definitely be intimidated if i let jack in there. i need to speak with him by myself.

jack looked me in my eyes sighing. "you have 10 minutes to get your ass back in this car before i come in."

i smiled knowing the only reason he said that is because he cares about me. "10 minutes."

i jump out of the car and speed walked to the door. 10 minutes is not a lot of time.

opening and closing the door, confusion washed over my face as i heard quiet sobs coming upstairs. i slowly jogged up the stairs to see what was going on.

of course the sound was coming from emilio's bedroom. my pace started to speed up as i reached his room.

opening the door i saw emilio lying on his bed. his beats were over his ears playing music as tears streamed down his face and small sobs escaped his mouth.

he didn't realize i was in the room until i was sitting next to him on his bed.

"eva?" he sat up looking at me. it was like he was happy i was there for a split second before he broke down crying into my shirt.

"i'm so sorry." emilio cried as i wrapped my arms around him. "i'm so sorry for hurting you."

i didn't say anything back. i just let him continue.

"i wasn't thinking straight. and i know that's not an excuse..." he continued to sob. "...but i didn't want to hurt you. i'm so sorry."

a shed a quick tear listening to emilio but wiped it away not trying to show a weakness. that's when i noticed the red stripes across his wrist.

"emilio." i groaned letting him go to examine his wrist. they were not dry and were obviously fresh.

he didn't say anything back. only pulled his wrist away so i couldn't see anymore.

"don't worry about me." emilio looked down pulling away his arm from me.

"you know i love you. of course i'm going to worry about you." i tried to reason with him.

"but you don't love me the way you love jack."

i frowned. i almost forgot that this all started because we had sex.

"emilio-"

"no." he cut me off. "you know i'm right."

"i do love you. and i appreciate you and everything you do for me." i explained to him. "it might not be the same type of love, but i still love you."

he nodded not saying anything so i hugged him again.

"i have to go." i said loosening my grip on emilio.

"where are you going?" his eyebrows furrowed.

"back to my hotel. jack is waiting for me outside." i told him getting up from his bed.

making my way towards the door emilio stopped me. "i told jesus about what we did."

my eyes squeezed shut. of course he was going to tell someone but i didn't know it would be someone in the house.

"don't tell anyone else." i told him before going to my room to pack my bags.
