Eva's POV

"Eva, sweetheart, can you help me open this can of soda?" Jack's great grandma asked me. I think she has grown a liking to me. We have been at this family get together for a little while now and i was talking to Jack's great grandma while he caught up with other family.

"Yea." I replied standing up. I took the soda for her and successfully opened the soda but my acrylic popped off too.

I quickly handed her the soda and held my finger tightly as it started throbbing.

I was trying so hard not to drop the F bomb in front of the great grandma.

"Whoa. Eva are you okay?" Jack's younger cousin, Daniel, i had met earlier asked me as i crouched down in pain.

"Yea, do you know where there are bandaids? My nail tore off." I asked uncovering my finger showing him the broken finger name.

"Yea. Come with me." He said grabbing my other hand and leading me upstairs.

He opened a bedroom door and told me to sit on the bed so i did so and he went to the added on bathroom.

He came back out with a first aid kit.

He pulled out nail clippers and cut off the rest of the name carefully. Then he opened an alcohol wipe and gently patted on the wound making me whine in pain.

Finally he put a bandaid and placed his hand on my thigh using his thumb to massage it.

"Thank you." I said kinda awkwardly because he was making me uncomfortable.

"Your welcome." He gave a bright smile. "Does Jack ever tell you have beautiful you are?"

"Yea." I said getting suspicious. "Everyday."

"You know i can treat you way better then he can. Did you know that?" Daniel said making my heart speed up. I'm pretty sure this kid was like 15.

"Umm-" i stuttered But got caught off as he forcefully grabbed my face and smashed his lips into mine.

I definitely I'd not kiss back, but his grip was too strong so it took me a minute to break free as i fell off the bed.

I quickly stood up stood up rushing out the room.

"Eva! Where are you going?!" I heard yell behind me making me pick up my pace. I ran back outside to the backyard and slowed down so i didn't look suspicious.

I looked around looking for Jack. I couldn't find him anywhere but i saw Katherine so i does walk in her direction.

"Katherine, do you know where Jack is?" I asked and she looked around for a second he's over there talking to his aunt." Katherine pointed to Jack's direction.

I thanked her and walked in Jack's direction only for Daniel to beat me to him making me freeze. I couldn't hear or read they're lips but Daniel was telling him something and Jack's eyes immediately darted to mine.

Jack excused himself from the conversation and walked in my direction.

"We need to talk." Jack said angrily pulling my arm towards inside.

I snatched my arm away. "Why?" I asked confused to why he was mad at me.

"You fucking like my cousin?!" Jack yelled making everyone divert their attention to us.

"No! Where the fuck did you hear that from?!" I yelled back getting mad.

"Him!" Jack threw his hands pointing towards Daniel. "He just told me about your little make out session upstairs. I should've known you couldn't be perfect. Your such a hoe!" Jack yelled making me shut down.

The backyard filled with silence. I didn't want to say anything cause i was afraid it would come out sounding dumb. That shit hurt so much. Normally i would have no reaction to anyone calling me anything but it was something about Jack that made my emotions turn on. All i wanted to do was cry.

My eyes started to water and Jack realized and his eyes softened. I quickly ran into the house and out the front door and down the street.

I had no idea where i was going cause I'm in the middle of Nebraska but i could hear my name being called in the background but i kept running.

It was still daylight out so i walked to a park with tears streaming down my face. How could he even say something like that. He didn't even let me explain my side of the story.

Jack's POV

Daniel grabbed Eva's hand and they went into the house. It kind of made me suspicious because Daniel is just like me when i was 15. Horny and up to no good.

"She seems like a special girl." My grandpa finished and i didn't even hear his speech because i was thinking of Eva.

"Yea. She is special." I smiled to myself.

"Young Love is special, Jack. So don't take advantage of it." My grandpa said making me chuckle.

"I know, i know." I smiled widely.

"There goes your girl."

I looked up to where my grandpa was pointing. Eva was looking around the backyard. I was going to go up to her to see what was going on, but she spotted my mom first and headed towards her.

"Bro, can i talk to you for a second?" I heard someone behind me. It was Daniel.

"Sure."

We stepped away from the people quickly.

"Man i hate to break it to you, but your dating a hoe." He said making me tense up.

"What do you mean?" I said as my blood started to boil cause i think i already knew what he was going to say.

"So Eva broke her finger nail ,right. So i took her upstairs to get a bandaid and i help her out. So after i was done she started to get all touching. She started touching my thighs and shit, and then she forcefully made out with me dude. It didn't feel right, that's why i wanted to tell you right away. I'm pretty sure she likes me." Daniel explained making my nostrils flare as i clenched my jaw.

I excused myself to the conversation and walked to Eva while every bone in my body was on fire.

"We need to talk." I said angrily pulling my arm towards inside so we wouldn't start a scene in front of everybody.

She was quick to snatch her arm away. "Why?"

"You fucking like my cousin?!" I blew up yelling making everyone divert their attention to us.

"No! Where the fuck did you hear that from?!" Eva yelled back getting mad but i can't just believe her. She is probably playing me.

"Him!" I angrily pointed towards Daniel. "He just told me about your little make out session upstairs. I should've known you couldn't be perfect. Your such a hoe!" Which i immediately regretted.

The backyard filled with silence. Eva's eyes started to water and my eyes softened realizing what i just did. Eva quickly ran into the house and out the front door and down the street and i followed her.

"Eva!" I yelled as i stopped in the drive way but she kept running to the point where i couldn't see her anymore.

"Ugh!" I screamed out in anger. I turned around seeing half of my family standing at the front door watching but i didn't really care at this point. I was so mad.

My grandpa just gave me a speech on how not to ruin young love and what did i do, i called the girl i love a hoe.

I love her.
