I walked through the corridors of the school both headphones popped in trying to block out the chaotic yells around me. I pushed past the slow walkers and the people who stopped in the middle of the hall to chat headed towards my 6th hour which was the last hour of the day and boy was I ready to go home and sleep all weekend long.

I felt a hand grab at my arm pulling me back I snapped my head being met with Timothee's deep green eyes.

"yes, Timothee do you need something?" I said lightly taking my arm from his grab.

"want to skip 6th hour?" he said tilting his head in a questioning way.

"no, I do not," I replied starting to walk towards my class.

"please Romilly i need to get out of this school." his eyes had a certain desperation in them that I had never seen there before usually his eyes were so filled with joy. I paused for a long second before exhaling.

"fine come with me to my locker then." and we walked to my locker I grabbed my coat and then we walked out the doors of the school quickly hoping not to be caught because the last thing I needed was for Julian to be riding my ass again.

"where are we going." I looked at him my eyes squinting in the harsh golden light.

"Oh I have plans," he said with a ghost of a smile on his lips. before he grabbed my hand and lead me in the direction of an old beat up truck. I hopped in wrapping my coat around me tightly it was early November and the leaves were just starting to fall from the trees painting the world in orange and red. when Timothee started his car his radio started up and a light whimsical song started playing. I looked over to him mouthing the words he reached up and ran a hand through his dark curls his gaze focused on the road. we pulled up to a local cafe that everyone knew and loved.

He hopped out rushing around the car to open the door for me.

"thank you, sir," I said with a posh accent taking his hand and leaping to the ground my actions causing a small smile to spread across his face. he held the door open for me and took a small bow carrying on the act. I giggled and as we stepped into the small cozy cafe we were hit with the comforting scent of fresh baked goods and coffee and the noise of people talking amongst themselves sweet laughs every now and then. I only ordered a small coffee which Timothee insisted that he was going to pay for despite my many protests. we stayed in the coffee shop for quite a while until around 5 pm Timothee had made a joke that we got sucked into a time warp to which I rolled my eyes at.

we were back in his car now, "so is this it then." I questioned looking into his sparkling emerald eyes.

"absolutely not my dear we have a whole night ahead of ourselves," he said with a grin turning to start up his car which came alive with a grumble.

"well then Timothee i guess I going to have to let my brother I won't be home till late tonight I assume." making sure I understood him correctly.

"yes Romilly that is what I just said." he looked at me with a sarcastic glint in his eyes. I let out a dramatic sigh to show him that I was indeed annoyed with him. and the thought of texting Julian had slipped from my mind

we drove for quite some time I checked the time seeing that it was now 6 and we pulled up to a small beach. I pushed open the rusty door hopping down the smell of crisp cool air mixed with the smell of salt hit my nose the wind whipped my hair in all sorts of directions. I walked to timothée my feet sinking into the sand he grabbed a blanket out of his truck and the biggest bag of flaming hot Cheetos out of his truck.

"I remember seeing you eat them in the library." he smiled at me. my heart fluttered at the fact that he had remembered my favorite snack. I shot him a wide-toothed smile and together we walked to the shore and laid out our blankets.

timothée dramatically threw himself down against the blanket I laid down as well and looked at the sky full of pinks and reds and we watched the sun slowly go down its rays spanning across the waves of the ocean. I looked over to timothée whom i beloved had fallen asleep at this point. I sighed opening the Cheetos and started munching on them. about a half an hour later I heard timothée inhale a sharp breath and he looked at me with wild eyes.

"let's go ding dong ditch," he said

my first instinct was to immediately say no but then I thought what was the actual harm so I turned to him-

"fine," I said and he wasn't the only one that couldn't believe the word that came out of my mouth. he then started to giggle. luckily the beach was close to a small neighborhood and we arrived there in under ten minutes.

"oh my god." I looked to Timothee in disarray.

"you don't have to dear." he smiled at me

"I want to," I replied and he grabbed my hand leading me up to the first house and ringing the doorbell and then we sprinted and hid in a small bush. a bald man in a robe came out quickly and I could feel the vibrations of Timothee's giggling.

"Hello." he called "I swear if you damn kids are out there I'm going to find you." Timothee buried his head in my shoulder to muffle his laughs.

"stop oh my god we're going to hell." I laughed clutching my hand to my mouth. he lightly grabbed my wrist standing up and started running

"hey I see you morons!" the man started yelling.

"that's not very nice," Timothee yelled back causing me to laugh harder and slowed me down my stomach hurt from laughing and I was bent over. "Romilly come on before he kills us." he joked tugging harder.

"I can't breathe." I wheezed our trying my hardest to run after him. and eventually, we made it back to the beach. it was less polluted here and we could see the stars clearly. timothée was pointing to stars and that he said is the constellation of Capricorn which is my sign. " I'm a Scorpio." I said turning to look at him.

"Oh I can tell, my mom loves astrology and taught me about it when I was younger," he explained to me.

"that's so cool I've always wanted to learn about it you should teach me." I reliés looking to the sky.

"do you think we're alone," he questioned his gaze remaining on the stars.

"if you're referring to aliens than absolutely not." I said " there is no way." he smiled.

"I agree I wonder if they watch us and laugh." he pondered.

"if they cared enough I'm sure they would laugh or maybe they would be sad at how quickly we destroyed an entire planet," I said frowning.

"that is true." he sighed "I wonder if ghosts from long times ago are sad too watching everything gets ruined. I would be if I had to watch this."

"I bet you there's a ghost laying with us right now tearing up," I said causing him to giggle.

"I bet there is."

and all that time had passed and I had completely forgotten about my phone unaware that there were several calls and texts from a worried brother at home.
