"So do you want to go catch a movie?" My best friend, Sophie, asks.

"Sure, which one?" I reply as shove all of my things into my bag, forgetting to zip it close all of the way

"I heard there was a really good one about werewolves and other supernaturals in Illinois." She exclaimed excitedly. I rolled my eyes at her, which she caught and gasped at as she playfully shoved me. "You mean to tell me you don't want to go see the werewolf movie? You're just going to leave me alone and helpless at the movie theater like that?" She put on her 'you kicked my puppy sad face' as she looked at me

I laugh as I answer back, "Fine. I guess I will go with you."

"Yaay!"

"God you're such a kid."

"Am not."

"Are too."

"Am no- why the heck has it gotten so dark? Is it supposed to rain?" I looked up at the sky and as soon as I do that, a drop lands in my eye.

I blink furiously as I answer her, "Yep, I think it is." Sophie quickly puts her bag over her head and starts to run.

"Well hurry up, then. I don't want to be stuck in this storm!" I think a lot of other people had the same idea because while I was trying to catch up to my running friend, someone bumped into me and knocked all of my stuff down just as it started thundering. Well shit, I knew not zipping it would end up being a bad idea. I quickly tried to pick up my stuff on the nearly empty street when suddenly, the hair on my arms stood straight up.

Crash!

The lightning was luckly enough to hit  me, well it may have not been directly, but it still was enough to hurt me very badly. The last thing I saw was a pink and blue portal before I blacked out.
