Humming an unknown tune, you type things into your laptop that any ordinary person wouldn't comprehend. A few people glanced over your shoulder as your hand almost glide across the keyboard, but they immediately lose interest after noticing the lack of Hangul and the excess amount of English letters.

Zoe slid into your seat, holding out her phone. You took out an earbud and quickly scanned the screen.

"Who's this?" You mumbled, quickly returning to your coding.

"Some handsome dude that was lying on the floor earlier." She replied casually, putting her feet on the space next to your laptop. You froze up, and almost slammed your hands into your keyboard.

You turn to her, a scary expression unknowingly on your face. "Zoe, that guy is no good."

She visually tensed up, before giving you an equally fierce expression, "What do you mean? He seems perfectly fine." Her eyes widen. "Wait a minute . . . is that why he was lying there? Did you best him up?"

"Yeah, obviously, he—"

Zoe stood up, fuming. "Why do you always have to start fights with people? First, it was that girl in the hallways, then it was that dude smoking! Now, it's this boy!"

You stared at Zoe in shock. She rarely spoke up about your violent outbursts, but always had a disapproving look whenever you approached her after fighting. But now . . .

"Honestly! What is with you? Is it because Jay started to teach you how to actually punch other people?"

". . . No." You said quietly. You weren't ashamed, no. You'd never regret fighting those people.

"Then what is it?"

"That dude. He was about to hit Crystal." You said with a flat tone, putting your earbuds back on and turning up your music.

Out of the corner of your eyes, you notice Zoe get up from your desk and walk over to Mira.

She wouldn't understand anyway.

After school, you lingered around campus. You had finished packing up and was about to leave to your apartment, feeling drowsy.

Until you heard gossiping voices just around the corner.

"So . . . did you heard about the argument that went on between [f/n] and Zoe?"

"Oh, right! I didn't hear any details about it. Do you know what happened?"

"Apparently Zoe was yelling at [f/n] for fighting so much. She looked pissed. It was about a guy, too."

"Hah, looks like Zoe reverted to her old ways. Serves the both of them right, though. [f/n] is such a bitch!"

You raise an eyebrow at that statement, about to tell them off until you heard the same girl say something else.

"And Zoe? The slut couldn't keep a friendship because of a boy! She deserves it!"

You had a smile on your face, stepping out into their peripheral vision. They turn towards you, a scared expression on their faces.

"So . . . Zoe's a slut, you say?"

"Y-Yeah, isn't she?" One of the girls spoke up.

"After all, she ruined the relationship between you two. Over the new t-transfer student!"

"The hoe probably can't even keep her legs closed when it comes to guys!"

You hummed, your smile growing more twisted. All signs of fatigue seemed to disappear; rage replacing it. You crack your knuckles, adrenaline fueling your anger.

"Now, now girls. Let's not get ahead of ourselves." You grabbed the hair of two of them, effectively slamming them against the wall. The third one tried to hit you, but you kicked her legs in before elbowing her on the head.

"Listen here," you made your voice as sweet as you can. "If any of you talk shit about Zoe again, I'll rip out your vocal cords. Now be some good students and button up your dress shirts. The right guy will love you for who you are, not for your cup size."

They glare at you, which you shrug off without a second of hesitation.

Your phone dinged in a special ringtone.

Zee-Zee: Hey, [f/n], I'm sorry for yelling at you earlier. You were right, the guy was a huge jerk! I'll make it up to you, I promise. Can I come over? I'll bring over your favorite pastries from that bakery you like.

A genuine smile grew on your face.

[f/n]: Sure! Just give me a little bit, I gotta clean up. I'll make us some hot chocolate!
