The bright side of cheats

"This dress would look so much nicer with a tan." Veronica said.

"Then why'd you buy it?" I asked.

"I thought it looked nice but of coarse my plans of tanning haven't really worked out now this dress makes me look paler." She said.

"Well we can't go back to the mall." I said.

"Then I'll have to look in my closet." She said. "Here your gonna need a dress." Sh added tossing the pink dress over to me.

"Why do I need a dress?" I asked.

"Cuz your coming." She said.

"It's just gonna be another one where you have all the fun and I just watch." I whined.

"It won't be like that I promise." She said.

"Alright." I said. After Veronica found a light blue dress she put her hair in tight curls and had some make-up on. While for me I lightly curled my hair and but on a little make up.

AT THE PARTY

Just like I thought would happen as soon as Veronica saw Luke she ditched me I didn't know anyone at this party so I just sat on the couch and watched people dance, make out, or mingle.

"Hey Meela." I heard Calum say loudly over the music.

"Hey Cal." I said.

"I'm surprised you came." He said.

"Me too." I said.

"Your sister ditch you?" He asked

"Yup." I said.

"Come dance I know your not the best but at least you won't just be sitting around." He said.

"Alright." I said. Calum and I danced for a while until Luke came over.

"Have either of you guys seen Veronica?" He asked.

"No." Me and Calum both said.

"Hey sorry Meela I gotta go." Calum said and left.

"So it's just us then I guess." I said. Then a slow song came on.

"Have you ever slow danced?" Luke asked.

"No." I said.

"How come?" He asked.

"How about you ask my sister." I said.

"Come ere I'll slow dance with you." He said. I couldn't really argue with him so I did. It felt so right have his arms around my waist and mine around his neck. I felt like I belonged is his arms I think he felt the same. We got so caught up in the moment he kissed me. I was in no business of denying myself the simple pleasure of having his lips on mine so I kissed back. I think when we stopped we both realized what we did was wrong but it felt right.

"We should find my sister." I said.

"Yeah let's go." He said and we searched for her.
