The bright side of cheats

It wasn't a mistake

Luke and I did manage to find my sister before she could get to drunk and do something stupid. I decided I was gonna take Veronica home just in case.

"Thanks for slow dancing with me." I said awkwardly

"Yeah it was no problem." He said.

"The kiss." I whispered,

"It wasn't a mistake or accident." He said.

"Ill see you and your sister tomorrow." He said and left. Those words stuck in my head I mean isn't that cheating? I don't know but I'm glad we kissed as much as I knew it would hurt my sister if she found out I don't regret kissing Luke.

THE NEXT DAY

"So how was the party?" Scott asked. Him and Hope had come over today.

"It was fun." I said.

"What did you do." Hope asked.

"I danced with Calum until he had to go." I said.

"And then what?" Scott asked.

"A slow song came on and Luke and I slow danced." I said.

"You slow danced with your sisters boyfriend." He said.

"Yes but he was just trying to be nice." I said.

"You just slow danced." They said.

"Yes I would never do that to my sister." I said.

"I'm kicking you out of the house for the rest of the day and tonight." Veronica rudely intercepted us.

"How come?" I asked.

"My friends are coming over and I don't want you to embarrass me." She said.

"How come you can do what ever you want but I can't?" I asked.

"Because I'm older and I'm mom and dads favourite." She said.

"Your so full of your self some times." I said.

"Whatever just get out." She said.

"You can stay at my place." Hope said.

"Okay." I said and packed a bag.

"Love you sweetie." My mom said as me and my friends were leaving.

"What ever you say." I said walking out.

"That was kinda rude." Hope said.

"You guys know Veronica's right." I said.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"My parents love her more then me." I said.

"No they don't." Hope said.

"Name one time they didn't let Veronica do something." I said.

"She's right but I'll be honest I'd rather be your friend the hers." Scott said.

"Yeah you got us." Hope said.

"Yeah I do." I said.

LATER

"I just feel so bad for ditching you." Hope said.

"Hope it's a date with Ashton come on I'm not mad I'm happy." I said. Hope was going on a date with Luke's band member Ashton.

"Are you sure?" She asked.

"Yes now go have fun." I said pushing her out of the door. It was just me Hope's parents were out of town and Hope was on her date I would invite Scott over but he had football. Just then my phone rang.

"Hello." I said.

"Hey Meela where are you?" Luke asked.

"Your girlfriend kicked me out of my house so I'm at Hopes place." I said.

"I'm coming over." He said.

"Luke you don't have to." I said.

"But I want to." Luke said. After a while I heard a knock at the door.

"Hi." I said answering it.

"Hey." Luke said.

"Listen I wanna talk to you." He said.

"Sure go ahead." I said.

"That kiss what did it mean to you?" He asked.

"I just thought it was a heat of the moment thing but I liked it." I said.

"I did to." He said which confused me.

"What?" I asked.

"I liked the kiss." He said.

"Luke." I said.

"Meela I know I'm dating your sister but in that kiss I felt something that I never felt with her and I liked it." He said.

"Good because I felt something that I liked to." I said. Luke then leaned and put his lips on my. He wrapped his arms around me while I cupped his face. The kiss felt passionate and intoxicating.

"What are you guys doing?" Hope asked when her and Ashton came in.
