han jisung was having a bad day.
felix and him had been assigned to different jobs, in different districts, so they caught individual trains to central to meet up and then caught one together to their home district.
the job choosing was random, and you got what you were given - there was no changing it. felix was very happy. programming and science had always been his interests, and now he re-programmed things that broke and made new, better versions. jisung was less pleased. he just made food and served it. yes, he was good at it, especially making drinks, but it was dull and repetitive. he knew it was just as important as felix's maintenance job, and that was what should have mattered, but he still couldn't help but dislike it.
when the two found each other in the station, jisung simply walked up to felix and buried his face in the place between his shoulder and neck.
'you okay?' the eighteen-year-old shrugged. 'the train's here.' the younger of the two (though only by one day) slid his arm around the other's shoulders as they made their way onto the train and found a seat. 'do you want to talk about it?'
jisung heaved a sigh. 'work is just... stressful. some of our customers are, like, really demanding and mean, and my coworkers are just plain childish. like, they made fun of my hair 'cause it's blue. who even does that?' he scoffed, rolling his eyes.
'yeah, that's stupid. i think your hair looks great,' felix said with a grin. jisung had tried to dye it a lighter shade of blue a few days ago, but hadn't lightened his hair enough first, and it turned out a navy colour. 'plus, when light shines on it, it looks like stardust!'
the navy-haired boy returned his friend's grin.
'i still hate them, though,' he added after a pause.
felix snorted. there was another silence, before he stated bluntly, 'i love you. you're short and often grumpy, but i love you.'
'gee, thanks.'
