Could be a slight trigger warning. I love you all and I'm always here for you.
Eyes are said to be the window to the soul.
The place people look to get an idea of who you are at a quick glance.
No one ever sees the secrets hidden deep below the surface of those deep pools of color.
No one sees the hidden anger, sadness, confusion.
All they see is what they want to see, the bright twinkle in someone's eye that shows happiness.
What about the dull blank color, the dark circles, the dark emptiness that fills those eyes completely?
What about people's other secrets that are hidden in plain sight but aren't seen by anybody?
The railroad like trail of tears over the years.
The scars people hide just under their clothing.
The forced smiles that could seem painful to them but are just what everyone else needs.
Sometimes if you look close enough you can see the hope in someone's eyes of knowing that you're really looking at them, seeing them, trying to figure out the puzzle that is you.
Sometimes that little glimmer of hope is all it takes for that person to understand.
But until then keep looking, keep trying to unravel those secrets held within.
But beware, those eyes, those pools of secrets, are dangerous.
Get too close and you'll drown in the abyss.
Follow the map of scars and tears up to discover the secrets that are within those eyes you now call home.
