27th November 2020,Friday. Hanbin sent Aera and Yejin at her office at 9 a.m. He had to go somewhere to meet someone. He stayed at a cafe quite far from Yejin's building. He checked his phone while waiting.
"You wanted to see me ?"
Hanbin looked up and it was him, Koo Junhoe with his handsome yet devilish smirk. Hanbin stood up and bowed a bit to show his manners even though he hates him so much. Junhoe bowed back and fixed his tie. They both sat down.
"what is it you want to say ?" Junhoe paused and sighed "i have something to tell you too , but you go first"
"let go of Yejin" Hanbin said confidently "she's happy with me, and i'll protect her. so just let her go"
"no, never" Junhoe replied and smirked "we're getting married soon anyways"
"w-what do you mean ? you're just kidding" Hanbin shook his head disbelievingly
"no, I'm not" Junhoe pulled out a card, a wedding invitation "you're invited anyways"
"no, it can't be" Hanbin held the card, shaking a bit as he held it as he was stunned then he stared at the date of the wedding
"11th December 2020, sounds familiar ?" Junhoe smirked devilishly again "isn't that your anniversary ?"
"ya~ you can't do this !" Hanbin got frustrated "Yejin didn't agree"
"but her father did" Junhoe paused a moment "so, i'll take care of her now. Thank you for keeping her save"
Hanbin stood up angrily and stormed out of the cafe without saying Goodbye to Junhoe. He slammed his car door shut , sat there frustratingly. He closed his eyes and felt his anger rising up as he held the card in his hand.
He yelled a bit then felt hot tears coming down his cheeks. He hid his eyes with his hand and wiped the tears. He started driving once he calmed down a bit. He went to Yejin's office, looking broken and it made Yejin and Aera worried.
"appa~ are you okay ?" Aera held Hanbin's free hand as he entered the office.
"is there something wrong ?" Yejin asked and walked with Hanbin to the seating area.
Hanbin couldn't talk, he gave Yejin the card as they sat down. Yejin closed her mouth shockingly and felt angry yet sad. She held Hanbin's hand and squeezed it.
"i didn't agree t-to it" Yejin stuttered as she was scared.
"arraseo~" Hanbin breathed out and dropped his head down sadly, looking to the floor with tears.
"Appa~ don't cry" Aera hugged Hanbin from the side and wiped his tears.
"i don't want to marry him, Hanbin" Yejin started crying too.
"let's go home" Hanbin looked down and stood up, trying so hard to balance himself.
They went in the car. Hanbin just sat at the Driver seat, spacing out as he sighed. Yejin held Hanbin's shoulder and gave a weak smile. Hanbin started driving in silence. Once they arrived home, Aera was told to stay in her room since Hanbin and Yejin had to talk about Junhoe.
Hanbin started crying silently as Yejin squeezed his hands.
"i won't marry him" Yejin said and held his hands tightly.
"i'm scared, Yejin" Hanbin paused "this is the only thing i fear. losing you"
"you're not losing me. i'm still here" Yejin held Hanbin's cheek, looking deeply into his beautiful eyes.
"Don't leave me" Hanbin begged and hugged her close.
"i won't"
suddenly, Someone crashed in his house using the front door. it made a loud sound and they both stood up in response. They snapped their head towards the door. Hanbin held Yejin tight as he knows she's scared. 4 well built man came in. 2 of them dragged Yejin away, another two held Hanbin down, punching him once on his stomach.
"Hanbin ! Let me go !"
"Yejin, No No !!!!" Hanbin shouted out as he tried to break free but couldn't
"i love you !" Yejin disappeared from Hanbin's sight and He dropped to his knees as the men left.
"Eomma~" Aera ran downstairs towards the door.
Hanbin ran to the door too, saw the car driving away and chased after it. it was too late. He knew it was Junhoe who did this. He walked back to his house, saw Aera crying so hard. He cried too and held her close, rubbing her back.
"Eomma..Eomma left us" Aera sobbed out.
"no~ Aera-sshi. she'll be back" Hanbin paused "i promise. i'll take care of you, arraseo ?"
"arraseo, Appa~" Aera muttered in response.
Aera couldn't stop crying so Hanbin stayed in her bed with her until they both fell asleep. Aera was protected in Hanbin's muscular-warm arms.
meanwhile, Yejin was brought to Junhoe's house. She was imprisoned there and was forced to marry Junhoe. if she rejected, he'll return Aera back to the orphanage. So, She agreed.
The next following day, 28th November 2020, Hanbin couldn't go to work since he was still devastated. He took Aera out for a walk and went to the grocery store. They both went to grab supplies and met someone very familiar.
Yejin. with a bodyguard.
They locked eyes and Yejin wanted to say something but couldn't because the bodyguard was watching. Hanbin understood so he just nodded his head when Yejin pointed the bodyguard with her eyes. They both walked different path with broken hearts.
Aera didn't see Yejin. it's better that way since she wouldn't understand the situation. Hanbin went home and laid on his bed, looking at Yejin's photo.
"i miss you, Little Monkey"
Then Aera walked in with her innocent look, looking like a cute baby with her purple pajama. She laid down with Hanbin, cuddled with him like a small kitten. She looked at Hanbin with sparkling eyes.
"when's eomma coming back ?" Aera asked suddenly.
"soon"
