it's now 2021, it's been 2 month since The Family moved to New York. So far, They had a good time and life. it's been peaceful and easy.
Aera made a lot of friends in school and spoke English fluently as she practiced a lot. She enjoyed everything about her school, the teachers were super nice.
as for Yejin, she would usually stay at home, clean the house, act like an actual wife and mother while Hanbin's at the hotel, managing and Aera in school. She would sometimes go out to shop and would help some cafe out, helped them clean the table or the cashier.She made some friends too.
Junhoe was still searching for Her. He didn't give up yet. He got a little worried.
5 months passed by, it is now July. Nothing important happened besides celebrating Aera's 6th birthday where she invited her friends over for a costume part. Of course Yejin and Hanbin dressed up too. They both dressed up as a queen and king, Aera as a princess.
Junhoe kept looking for them. Until one day, he had a meeting in New York. Yejin's father had to attend the meeting too. They stayed there for 3 days only.
26th July 2021, Hanbin, Yejin and Aera went shopping at the mall, laughing at stupid jokes together with Aera in the middle, holding both their hand. They bought some clothes and grocery goods and was about to have tea at Starbucks.
meanwhile at that time, Junhoe was strolling around the city, taking pictures of the beautiful city. Visited some local shops, tried food that he never ate. He wished he could do all of them with Yejin. He ate ice cream and continued walking.
Junhoe was about to take a picture of a huge Starbuck coffee. He peaked into his Camera's lense and zoomed really close. He saw them. Yejin, Hanbin and Aera laughing and having a good time.
it left a huge scar on his heart. She's happy with someone else. Tears streamed down a bit and he observed Yejin, just Yejin. She looked more happier than before.
Yejin's father was still staying there So, Junhoe called him up and sent his location. He kept staring at them until Yejin's father arrived.
Junhoe quickly showed what he saw through the camera too. He was in shocked, it made him wonder how she got here. Yejin's father was about to approach them but Junhoe wants her to be free and be happy. so, Junhoe decided to talk it out with Mr.kim.
Mr. Kim was definitely shocked to the decision. They both approached the couple and it made them both jump up from their seat, looking surprised and panicked a bit.
"so, you stayed here for 7 months ?" Junhoe asked calmly.
"J-Junhoe i can explain, appa~ please let me make this clear-" Yejin had a panic look.
"you don't have to" Yejin's father sighed.
"let's talk for a while, i have something to say" Junhoe paused "do you mind if we sit ?"
"no, please join us" Hanbin handed his phone to Aera so she could play games, instead of listening.
They sat down awkwardly and it was tense.
"look, i'm so sorry Yejin" Junhoe sighed "i know i'm not a good friend to you, i'm really sorry for forcing you to marry me. so i decided to cancel the wedding and break the engagement"
Hanbin and Yejin looked at each other with a shock look.
"i realised you're happy with Hanbin now, i blew my chance off and i regret it so much. it'll probably be hard to move on from you but what's important is you being happy" Junhoe smiled a little "so from now on, you're free. and please forgive me and let's be best friends again ? just like the old times"
"Thank you so much, Junhoe" Yejin teared up with a pity smile "but what about appa ?"
"i guess i should say sorry to my daughter, i shouldn't force you into marriage. and forgive me, Hanbin for taking her away from you. and i'm sorry i arranged the marriage with him" Yejin's father looked down "i'm more than happy to have you back in the family. i really am sorry"
"it's okay, Thank you for accepting me once again" Hanbin paused and smiled "And Thank you too Junhoe, i'm also sorry for stealing her for 7 months"
"it's okay" all of them smiled "so we're good ?"
Hanbin and Yejin smiled while nodding.
"can't wait for your wedding" Junhoe exclaimed just like the old him, the dorky, energetic and loud guy yejin knew "don't forget to invite me though"
"maybe we should speed up the wedding, maybe you know, soon ?" Yejin's father joked "i'm excited to have grandchildren"
"appa~" Yejin blushed.
"i'm fine with that" Hanbin played along and looked at Yejin's smiling face.
"but you already have one !" Yejin exclaimed.
"i do ? where ??" He asked and raised his eyebrows.
"here ! Meet Aera !" Yejin introduced Aera and she smiled adorably "we adopted her when she was 5 years old"
"oh my child !" Yejin's father lit up and went to carry Aera up.
and with that, they were all happy. Hanbin and Yejin ended up together. Junhoe finally lets go of the past and focus more on his future. Yejin's group of friends found their soulmate, including Junhoe. Yujin's debut was a success and her group's globally known. Everyone's happy with their life and that's how it ends.
