The next day, Jessica and I called in sick and started heading towards the old mansion once again.
I stepped and stepped across the sidewalk, trying my best to block out the sound of Jessica's whining about how her foot hurts. "Are you even listening Corben!?" She practically screamed in my ear. Continuing to ignore her, a red mustang pulled up next to us,"Hey, Jess, who's that weirdo?", a man about in his 20's asked. She sighed and flipped her hair,"Business partner I guess..." The man chuckled and smiled,"What kind of business?" She shrugged,"I dunno. Secret." He smiled even more,"Can I know your secret?" Jess tapped her chin,"Well-" I grabbed her arm tightly,"Dude, why don't you just buzz off?" I said, dragging Jessica with me down the sidewalk.
When we arrived at the mansion, Jess leaned towards me,"What was your problem down there?" I shrugged,"His voice was annoying I guess." I pushed open the gates, not really noticing they were unlocked.
Once inside we approached a smaller black door near Slenders room. Jess knocked and the door creaked open when nobody opened it. I walked inside while Jess stayed out,"Corben something's not right." I sighed,"Stop worrying and come in already!" She looked at me for a moment, then walked in.
We walked down a short hall, and then saw a dim room with three chairs. A short figure in one of the chairs. Jessica ran forward and sat next to the unidentified person,"Hey! S-sarah!?" Sarah turned towards her, tears dripping down her face, "Oh.. Corben.. Jessica!" She hugged Jessica tightly smooshing her face in her chest. Jessica looked back at me in a questioning way,"Erm. What happened?" She said turning towards Sarah once again. "S-she captured me..." I stepped forward,"Who!?" Sarah lifted a shaky finger and pointed at the tall figure who then stepped out the shadows. The woman had pale skin and long wavy black hair. Her eyes grey and dull, she wore a long black dress that trailed way far back. "Mom...?"
