Mortal AU part 6

Nico groaned, taking another step. Will was close to him, allowing Nico to lay most of his weight on him, which Nico did.

"Just eight steps back Neeks, c'mon, you can do it." Will smiled, trying to give Nico a little confidence and cheer him up.

Nico groaned again. "But it hurts!" He whined. "It hurts a lot! I can't do it Will, can't two steps be enough?" He whispered, and Will knew there wasn't much he could do to change Nico's mind.

Nico had been in a car accident a week ago, had been unconscious for three days and then laid in his hospital bed since. If he had to go anywhere, Will would drive him in his wheelchair. But now he had to start using his body again.

"I swear Will, I'm gonna fall and the stiches, they're gonna break up and my wound is gonna open up and I'm gonna bleed to death-"

"Okay okay! We'll stop for today. Two steps is better than nothing." Will smiled and picked Nico up, who blushed a bit and looked away. "I'm sorry me and the hospital force you to this." Will kissed Nico's cheek.

"It's okay.." Nico mumbled, turning his head so he was facing Will's chest, cuddling closer to him.

"You're cuddly already? It usually takes you about fifteen minutes before- We need a doctor!" Will yelled, starting to panic. Nico was bleeding. Way too much.

"Shhh... I'm sleeping..." Nico whispered softly, yawning. His hospital clothes started turning red way too quickly.

"No, you're gonna stay awake, do you hear me Nico?" Will shook him a bit. "Nico, we can talk about pirates! We-We can watch pirates of the Caribbean again together! Just please stay awake, okay?" Will panicked, crying at this point.

"I love pirates..." Nico mumbled. "I wanna be a pirate Will.. I wanna..."

Naomi ran over with a first aid kit and Will quickly laid Nico down, who was mumbling and whispering about pirates and Will.

"He just started bleeding-" Will cried, trying to ignore the blood on himself.

"He's gonna be fine Will, it's okay, it's just a minor wound." Naomi sighed in relief. "One of the stitches broke, I'll have to sew it again. He might need a bit extra blood, but that's quickly fixed." She smiled exhausted up at Will.

Will crawled over to his mom, who hugged him close. Some male nurses got Nico up on a hospital bed, running away with him to the nearest operation room.

"I said it would happen! And now you owe me at least to watch all the Pirates of the Caribbean movies through once. Then we'll try to walk again afterwards." Nico smiled satisfied, shoving another spoon of chocolate ice cream into his mouth.

"Yeah yeah, we'll do that." Will smiled softly. "But then you have to share your ice cream with me."

Nico groaned at that.
