We all piled in into the truck. There were four seats, just enough. I hop into the front seat and wait until every one had gotten in. Once you turned sixteen at our hideout, you would have the choice of taking driving lessons. Me and Daniella decided it would be useful in the future. Turns out it most definitely was.

It was dark, the only lights were a tall post just above the entrance. Other than that it was pitch black. I wasn't scared. This is what we were trained for. The team and I drove off into the distance without another glance.

We must have been driving for at least an hour in total silence until someone spoke.

"I agree, " it was Sam, I realised this was the first time he had said anything since the debrief.

"Sorry, but what exactly are you agreeing too?" The second to speak was Daniella. I kept my eyes on the road and stayed silent.

"You know, the whole sending us on this mission so quickly, " Sam said.

"Thanks. " And that was the only exchange of speech for the next hour. Well that is, until we were attacked.

I heard a car pull up next to us. It was the same black van that was used as the getaway vehicle for the attack. I glanced at the van.

"Speed up," Sam said, his teeth clenched.

In response I pushed down on the accelerator. The rest of the events are in a blur.

The car continued to speed up until we were right next to each other. I tried to swerve away, but it was no use, the attackers van swerved with us, but to quickly. The sides of the car smashed into each other. We span through the air, until gravity took its toll leaving our car upturned on the rocky asphalt.

I brushed the hair out of my eyes. My hand was bleeding, but I couldn't take notice of that just yet. We had a fight to take care of. I pushed open the door and jumped outside. Daniela and Adrian had made it out, they were busy dealing with the enemies.

There were four of them. Each with a black mask pulled down over their heads. By there side was a club, the kind that police used. I paused for a second when I realised that Adrian was still in the car.

Staying in an upturned Vehicle, was a bad idea. The motor was leaking, judging by the smell. This meant I had a matter of minutes until it exploded. I had to get Adrian out.

I turned to the backseat door and threw it open. The passenger seat was pressed against Adrians legs, trapping him. His eyes were rolled back in his head, clearly unconscious. I dived into the car and desperately tried to remove his trapped legs from the seat. I could smell smoke. Flames engulfed the hood of the car.

But it was too late, flames burnt my face. In desperation I leaped out of the burning car. My head was hot, my wrist was bleeding and burnt. The hard gravel pressed against my grazed cheek.

I couldn't do it. I couldn't free him. Adrian was gone.

I stood up in a daze. My ears were ringing from the explosion. A tear trickled down my cheek. I would mourn Adrian later, but for now I had to fight.

I ran over to the others. They also seemed to be shocked from the explosion, but nevertheless they were throwing punches at the enemies. Daniella was busy fighting two of the four men. Sam had one of them, and the other was sprawled across the ground, clearly showing no signs of getting up.

I started toward Daniella. She was struggling but her whole life of training definitely had an advantage. I turned to one of the two men and kicked in their direction. It hit the first man in the groin. He clutched his knee. A single kick wasn't going to stop him. He quickly recovered from the blow. He curled his hand in a fist and punched me. Hard.

His fist hit me square in the jaw. I cowered away from the man. He took a few more steps toward me. I pretended to fall down, I wanted to appear vulnerable. But a punch in the jaw was almost nothing compared to hits I have received in the past.

"Pretty girl, got hurt did she?" "Did you manage to save your boyfriend?" The attackers  lip curled as he spoke. He wanted to taunt me. To make me upset.

But that's not what happened. Now he was right next to me.

I leaped up and swung my legs into his calf's. The blow knocked him off his feet. I grasped the opportunity and kicked him in the jaw. Blood gushed out of his nose but I wasn't done yet.

"This ones for Adrian," I snarl.

I held out my hand. Channeling my powers. With one flick of the wrist. The man was dead.
