song: for him. - troye sivan feat. allday

"regardless of you're a suck driver, tell me why are you taking us here?"

it was the first sentence new uttered once we hopped out of the car. he turned his head at me as he took a sip of the pink milk —that he bought at chillva market— through a plastic straw.

and the answer to his question, it was like i made his own karma karma. it had to be my turn to take him to the place i wanted to. and damn it, i didn't bring my glasses, so i admited that i didn't drive that well. but i could drive, really! i didn't know why all of my friends thought i couldn't just because i seemed to always be the passenger. i mean, why would i want to drive when i got newwie to accompany me anywhere for almost 24/7?

i turned my head at him and shrugged. "well, no spesial reason, i just want to. and it's my turn to choose the place to go to now."

"but tay, aren't we coming too soon?" he knitted his eyebrows. "there are only plenty of people here."

i immediately turned my attention towards what new talked about, my eyes examined the area. apparently he was right, there were only plenty of people around us. this place was a bit quiet indeed, eventhough it was around an hour before 6 p.m; estimate time of the sun would set.

baba nest, where i drove us to. this place was basically the 'hill roof top' of the villa we stayed at. and according to what i read from trip advisor, it was the right place to watch a sunset. the article review was saying the truth because everything about this place looked so beautiful and cozy with views directly facing the sea up from a hill.

but what matter the most was there was no sunset that looked ordinary if you witness it with the one you adore.

i quickly directed my attention back to new. "good then, we can find the perfect corner to wait for the sunset."

by then i stepped towards the perfect corner for us to wait for the sun to set. i positioned myself, casually sitting onto a cushion, looked over my right to find new sitting next to me as he was occasionally sipping the pink milk.

my main concern was now at the sky and its reflection on the sea water in front of me. i looked up at the sun going down, not compeletly setting though. i started hummed a song in my head; for him by troye sivan while watching the blue sky now turned to a shade of purple out of red and blue mixture.

everything was going to be perfect and i was about to drown in my own thought until new startled me in a sudden by his whispering.

"tay, tay, look at the people who just come over there." new whispered while his finger took a grip of the tip of my shirt, just like what he always do to get my attention on something.

i immediately turned my head to the direction he pointed out and nodded as soon as i saw a bunch of people he was talking about.

"i bet there's gonna be a proposal today," he said confidently. i glared at him in surprise because i totally had no clue of why he thought so.
