It had been a week since the last time Abigail saw Finn. They had talked on the phone but had not yet found the time to hang out. She kept wondering what they were. She didn't want to ask, it seemed demanding to do so, like is she were to push it to far.A slight knock on her bedroom door got her out of her thoughts. "Come in" she said without looking at the door. She heard it open.
"We need to go to the hospital" James said worryingly. Abby looked at him.
"Now? Why?" she asked and raised an eyebrow. Why did they have to leave? About a million horrifying scenarios flashed through her head at once. Terror, war, earthquake, tsunami, murders, gas leaks. Yet, it didn't cross her mind to think about the most logical reason, which, as so many times before was the case.
"Isla" James said, and looked at his clock. "Come on, Malcom is gonna be here any second"
Abigail got up and grabbed her phone from the charger, she then rushed downstairs to get her shoes. "How are we gonna get there?" she loudly asked as she was rushing around the house.
"Malcom is gonna pick us up!" James yelled back form the front-door, he were looking out the window trying to spot his uncle.
Abigail put on her jacket, as it had beginning to turn in to autumn. A blue Volvo stopped outside the house, the two teens got out and walked up to it.
They both jumped in the backseat. The car had drove away before they even had put on their safety belts. "Hey" their uncle Malcom greeted them.
"Hello" James and Abigail said in union. "What is happening?" Abigail asked. No one had told her anything, she felt a bit bad considering how her parents had called James but not her.
"It's worse" James mumbled. "She had a flat line for almost two minutes,"
"Oh my god" Abigail whispered and put her hand over her mouth. "How is she?"
"She is on life support, and heart monitor, they think it stopped because of lack of oxygen" James replied and looked out of the window. Abigail hadn't seen her brother cry for years, she wasn't sure, but she thought she could see tears in he's eye's through the reflektion in the window.
"But she was getting better" Abigail claimed. "They said she was gonna get well again"
"It's not that easy" Malcom said sorrowfully. "Sometimes, it just..."
He didn't find a way to end the sentence, so they just sat in silence under the entire trip. The air felt like it was filled with sorrow and woes. Abigail just wish that everything would be alright, but deep inside she knew that that wouldn't be the case.
As they got closer to the hospital, Malcom coughed. "I'm just gonna drop you off here, Faith has cheer and I need to pick her up" he explained. The siblings nodded.

They had just gotten out of the lift when they heard shouting.
"She is fifteen Michael! She could've gotten raped or murdered!" a woman, as the two Collins immediately recognized the voice as their mom shouted. They looked at each other, and then walked closer to the sound.
"She is clever, and she had her boyfriend with her, she wouldn't do anything stupid!" a male voice, their father, yelled back.
Abigail sighted, she knew this was about her.
"Oh, so now she has a boyfriend?! What else aren't you telling me Michael? Is Mila pregnant with James baby? Did the house burn down? Huh?!" Their mother, Jane screamed again. James and Abigail looked at each other with sorrow in their eye's.
"You would've know if you spent some time at home, and not just sitting here all day!" Michael screamed back. They could both hear their mom crying. James and Abigail were really close now, just around the corner, so they could hear their mom say, in a normal tone; "I am sick of you".
SMACK.
James and Abigail rushed around the corner just in time to see their dad stumble backwards with his hand under his nose, stopping the bleed from a nosebleed, and their mom with her palm in the air. They hadn't seen their mom for almost three weeks, and she looked so different. Her hair was messy and greasy, and she looked exhausted.
"Dad?" Abigail asked and rushed towards him, James walked over to their mother, trying to stop her from not attacking their dad again. Two male nurses came rushing over to help him, Abigail wondered if they had not heard the two of them screaming just seconds ago.
"Dad are you okay?" Abigail asked him. He's hand were bloody form nosebleed.
"Fucking bitch!" he yelled to Jane, who hadn't calmed down for a second and were still being held back by the male nurses. Michael then walked away in to the corridor towards the lift, his hand still under his nose and covered in blood.
"Oh yeah? Well you are a scumbag!" their mom yelled back and tried to get out of the nurses grip, by doing so she accidentally knocked Abigail so she fell on the floor.
"Abby!" James yelled out and let go of his mom, leaving only the two nurses to try to hold her back. He walked over to her and got down on his knees. "Are you okay?" he asked her. Abby nodded.
"I'm sorry Abby" their mom said, now calm. The nurses had let go of her but were still standing about a meter away, ready to help if it was needed. Jane got closer to them. "Are you alright?"
"I think you should go" James said, trying to make sure no one else were hurt. He put a hand on her sisters shoulder. Jane nodded.
"I'll be back in 20 minutes, take care" she said and left, walking the same way as her dad had done. Abigail prayed a silent prayer that they wouldn't meet.
Abby got up and smile towards the nurses. "Thank you, and sorry for that" she said. The nodded and walked away. Abigail wiped some invisible dust away from her legs. She turned to her older brother who was standing beside her. "Thank you" she whispered and pulled him in to a hug. In his arms, she started crying. This entire day had been so difficult for her, all she wanted to do know was talking to Isla.

The door made a little sound when they open it, making Isla turn to them.
"Abie!" she said and smiled. Abigail couldn't help but notice how even more devices were standing around her.
"Issie" Abigail smiled with tears in her eye's, it broke her heart to look at her sister, but still, that was the only thing she wanted to do right now. She just wanted to spend as much time with her as possible, because she knew deep down, without admitting it, that she wouldn't have much time left.
It made her fucking miserable.
