A New Beginning

The New Community

AJ, Derek, and Tyler arrive to the neighborhood and what they witness is not pleasant. All the houses, including the mansion, are burned down and this causes Tyler to freak out in the back seat. He starts sweating and panting as he cannot control himself. He exits out of the car quickly and sprints towards the remains of the mansion. Derek and AJ exit the car and chase after Tyler who stands there, with his hands on his hips. Tyler stares down at the ground after realizing his home is gone, along with his family. They approach behind him. "We'll find the people that did this." AJ says confidently. Tyler turns around and nods and they head cracking in the woods next to them. The three draw their weapons and begin moving to where the sound was heard. "Think it was a rabbit?" Derek asks. Tyler shakes his head. "Something that small can't make that kind of sound that loud." Tyler answers. "Be aware of your surroundings. We're not alone out here." AJ orders. The three enter the woods and cautiously move with every step they take, hoping not to draw attention. Before AJ can step onto anything, Derek stops him. "Ho!" He whispers with his mouth. The sound makes AJ stop in his tracks and he notices what Derek does. A trap. AJ looks over at Derek. "Thank you." He replies. Tyler moves over to AJ and inspects the trap. "Someone's out here." He whispers. "They can't be too far off." AJ says. "Best stay close to each other. We don't know who and how many people are out here." Derek suggests. They begin moving again while AJ steps over the trap. They walk for five minutes and notice tents and they stop and inspect. "Three tents, not sure how many people though." AJ whispers. "Should we stick around to find out?" Tyler asks. "Yeah. It would be better to know what we're up against." Derek suggests. "How long do you think we'll have to wait?" Tyler asks. "Hopefully not a long time." AJ replies. With five minutes passing by, a little group comes back and Tyler instantly recognizes a member. Derek and AJ notice him staring at a member with aggression. "What is it?" AJ whispers to Tyler. "That's the son of a bitch I had a 'chat' with." Tyler replies. AJ's eyes go wide. "They were watching you.. waiting to strike." AJ responds. Tyler feels rage building up inside of him. "I bet that's the fucker that took your wife and grandson." Derek whispers. Tyler nods. "He is." He says in a dark tone. They continue to watch as the member pulls out a walkie. The others sit on a log. "Anybody copy?" The member speaks into the walkie. All he can hear is static. "This is Pamela here." A voice responds. "Still no sign of Tyler. You still have his wife and grandson?" The member asks and waits for a response. "Yes, we do. They're still alive and breathing. Poor kid, he just wants his grandfather to be with him." Pamela replies. "Oh, he'll get his grandfather all right. When I chop his old body into little pieces and place them in a box!" The member yells. "Keep your voice down. You'll attract the dead ones." Pamela replies. "What do you want me to do?" The member asks. Derek, AJ, and Tyler continue to watch the member. "Return back home. You can continue your search in the morning. You said his mansion was burned down?" Pamela questions. "That's right. I thought that would make him charge at us but there's no sign of him anywhere." The member responds. "Well shit." Pamela says. "Just return back home, Cody." "Roger that. Cody out." Cody places his walkie in his back pocket and Tyler gets out of cover. "What are you doing?!" AJ aggressively whispers. Tyler ignores AJ. "Motherfucker!" Tyler yells while charging at Cody. Cody and the others notice while AJ and Derek shoot the other members. Tyler picks Cody up and slams him on the ground and begins punching him repeatedly. "Where'd you take my family?!" He yells. AJ and Derek begin running towards Tyler. "WHERE?!" Tyler screams. "Enough!" AJ yells as he throws Tyler off of Cody. AJ focuses on Cody who's on the ground wiping the blood off of his nose. "Where are they?" He questions. "Who the fuck are you?" Cody asks. AJ tilts his head. "Who I am is not your problem nor is it your concern. Tell us where Alexis and Tyler are. Now." Cody begins laughing. Tyler gets annoyed and goes to kick Cody but Derek blocks the kick. "Dammit Tyler, back off!" AJ snaps. He turns around and focuses on Cody. "You do realize that you took this mans family, right? If he wants to kill you, I won't stop him." AJ comments. Cody begins backing up. "We're not gonna hurt you, unless if you do something stupid first. We just want to know where you are currently located so we can work something out with your people." AJ tries to convince Cody. Cody exhales. "I'll take you there." Cody responds. AJ nods. "Good, now get up." AJ stands on his feet and grabs Cody and sets him on his feet. "Walk." He says shoving Cody in front of him. They walk to the car and Tyler cannot take his eyes off of Cody as he desperately wants to kill him. "We're getting them back, Tyler. You don't have to keep staring at him like that." AJ says to cool Tyler down. Tyler still stares at him. "If he's done something to them, he's dead. No hesitation." Tyler replies. The four enter the car. "You're sitting in the passenger seat." AJ says while Derek shoves him up to the passenger door. Derek sets himself in the backseat while AJ and Cody sit up front. Tyler gets in the backseat and has a gun pointed at Cody. "You'll give him the right directions, or I will blow your head off, you understand me you maggot eating piece of shit?" He questions. AJ places the keys in the ignition and starts the car. He begins driving.
