This is my first chapter and a picture of how Oreoluwa looks above.
CHAPTER ONE
I got to the campus that was meant for Pds students, checked in with the porters, with them telling me the rules and regulations governing the campus and that the school gate will be open from 6am in the morning and close around 8pm (and I was like wtf!, when it’s not like I’m in secondary school…..didn’t say that aloud though), and was finally placed in B6, one of the female block with 14 other inmates.
Later I found out that the female blocks are in between male blocks (weird right), and so is the lecture halls for the pds students and some uabs (A levels) students are in the same hostel with us though their lecture hall is in the main campus.
“Hi, am ayomide, guess you are in our room, we need one more person to make us four, our room is Room 2.” Said a fair thick looking girl with kind of deep voice “Physics student and you?”
I smiled slightly “am Oreoluwa, student of Estate Management..Nice meeting you”
And other girls of different rooms in the same block also came out to greet me, and My goodness! They were all fresh looking girls and some were wearing just bumbshorts even though the male in their blocks can see them clearly as they are opposite block of us. One of them, Temitope was going for the same course as me She was in room 1, Busayo stay in the same place with me in Kwara room 4, they were in different rooms from mine but I guess we might get stucked as friends
That’s was how I made a friend with Ayomide(I guess) and found out the other two of my roommates’ name was Ifeoluwa and Pelumi but they weren’t around at that time. I arranged my stuff with the help of Ayomide and she was just laughing at how many my foodstuffs were and my luggages in total.
“Well this was my first time in a higher institution so don’t blame me, beside my dad keep telling to pack everything necessary” I said
“Lol, higher institution kor, I just resumed 3 days before you”Ayo said
I looked at her surprised “huh, you like you’ve been here since the beginning of the programme, the way you talk and everything” Because the programme started since October last year but I’m just resuming this year January”
She smiled “well, i was like you when I came here, quiet and shy but now I know at least 8 boys and I have even entered their hostel”
“Geez! but the porter said it’s not allowed now, do you want to get expelled when you just got in”
“Stay there and be jonzing yourself, all those rules doesn’t matter sef” she smirked “beside you have to get used to guys oo because our other block mates allowed them in, you know to sleep in, gist nod so on”
“Wow, well I attended a girls only school and just got out last year, so am not used to them”
“Ah!” Ayo exclaimed “so you’re a small girl sef”
“Nooo, which kind” I rolled my eyes and climbed the upper bunk to lay my bed with my blue floral print bedsheet“I’m17+”
“Still small, if you’re done, you should come and let’s go and buy some food or do you want to start cooking already”
“Huh, noo”
When I went there, I could really believe that fut akure has more of boys than girl, as it was most boys that crowded the woman stall to buy food and I saw Busayo literally entering into the body of one guy like that and she was wearing the same bumpshort, and I was wondering how she was comfortable with that outside around 5pm with boys around. Then I saw another girl in long gold cornrows sitting on a boy lap at another stall in front. She was practically wearing shirt outside. In my id I was wondering if I could ever wear such outside, not that I don’t wear short stuff but in front of guy (don’t think so)
“So what do you want to eat” Ayomide cut into my thoughts after she left to greet some of ‘8’ boys she knows (eyes rolls)
“ uhmmm probably fried rice and chicken” I said looking at over the woman selling as she shamelessly flirts with the guys old enough to be her son
“lol, Kwara girl, no chicken here only meat but there is fried rice sha’
I laughed at the nickname she gave me “okay then I will e………’
“ chill Ore, I think I just saw someone” Cut in Ayomide
I rolled my eyes and bought my food, left the front of the woman stall and was waiting for Ayomide to come back from the darn place or person she went to meet.
“This is Ifeoluwa one of our roomies” Ayomide shoved a girl in my front then I recognized her to be the one on gold colored cornrows.
“Hey” I said a little self conscious because the girl was looking intensely at me
“You are a fine girl ooo” the girl said in a thin low pitched voice
‘thanks” I muttered
“Which course are you going for” Ife asked
“estate management” I said “ and you”
“FST” she simply said already walking in front to another stall.
Mehn Is that girl an hoe ni
“what’s the meaning of FST’ I asked Ayomide when Ife left
“Food Science and Technology”
I simply said okay as Ayomide bought her food and left not after greeting like 5 guys which they in turn greeted me and one was even asking for my number which I politely decline and Ayomide laughed.
