Chapter 47

Chase's POV

I got in the hospital and close the door. I walk to the dask where the receptionist is.

"Let me guess. You here to see the lady in coma Ashley Thomas?" the receptionist asked.

"Yes."

"You may go in sir." she said with a warm smile.

"Thanks."

I made my way to her room. When I got there I take a deep breath and walk inside. Ashley's mom and dad are there sitting down and holding Ashley's hands while her mom crys and wipe her tears.

"Good morning sir and mam." I greet.

"Hey, how are you doing?" her mom asks.

"Still coping. How are you guys doing?"

"The same just coping. We were about to leave please take care of her."

"I will."

They both got up and left. I walk up to Ashley and I kiss her forehead that am use to doing everytime I came to her. I took a chair and sit down.

"Hey Ashley. I came back. I can't wait to see your beautiful eyes open and see the sparkle in them. I have think about the feeling I get when I'm around you and I'm going to tell you now." I took in a deep breath and continue. "While I sleep, I dream of you, and when I wake, I long to hold you in my arms. If anything, our time apart has only made me more certain that I want to spend my nights by your side, and my days with your heart. Maybe I'm too late to be your first. But right now, I'm preparing myself to be your last.

I'm addicted to the way I feel when I think of you. My favourite part of the day is when I get to talk to you. You are the one that brings light to my darkness. You make my heart jump in joy when I get to let you smile. We both pass through so much things in our life but you make me forget my past and give me hope to live." I took her hands and hold them tight. "Ashley I love you."

I felt my hands being squeezed so I look at it with surprise my eyes looks like they going to come out of their socket. I look back at Ashley and her eyes slowly opens. She gives me a ghost smile. I smile back. I quickly stood up.

"A-Ashley, hold on I will be back. Please just wait don't go anywhere or close your eyes please don't do that again." I quickly wipe the tears that comes from my eyes and ran to the door opening it.

"Doctor, doctor she's awake!!!" I yelled. A doctor with white coat that was passing by, came to me.

"Ashley is awake?" she asked surprised. All the doctors and most nurses in this hospital knows Ashley because she has been here for more than a month now.

"Yes, please do your things. Check her or something!" I said opening the door wild to let her come in. I left the door and ran back to Ashley. She still has her eyes open.

"Ashley we all missed you. Are you okay?" I asked.

She looks like she wants to reply but she can't open her mouth.

"Can you open your mouth?" She shook her head. The doctor comes and stand next to me.

"Try to scream." The doctor said. Ashley tries to scream but she was only able to open her mouth which I'm a bit glad about but nothing comes out. "Let me check you." She check Ashley's eyes and mouth and heart beat. Then she stood up.

"It looks like she can't speak because she haven't been speaking for long, so she has to stay here for three weeks or more. I will just call Dr. Denise that always with her and ask him if we can take out all the pipes on her." I nodded.

"Thanks so much." I said and shake her hand.

"Your welcome." She smiles and walks out of the door. I ran to Ashley and hug her tight but not to tight coz the pipes around her neck and body are everywhere.

"I'm gonna be by your side, this time we going through this together."
