Chase's POV
One month later
"Princess, we all miss you, I miss you." I chuckle bitterly. "....even though we don't hang out much or have fun like other people. I know you went through a lot, but your also a very strong girl. You pass through all of them and this one, I still have faith. There is this thing I can't see but can feel, stabbing me really deep in the heart. I'm even surprised that I'm still alive from the pain that is caused by it. It's painful and heavy at the same time. There is no cure for it, but you. There is this feeling I love when I see your smile, your laugh or your eyes that has so much beauty in them. But this one I'm feeling now is way too different from that one. I never knew I will get such pain around you but now, I know. That same day still hunts me."
One month earlier
She ran to me and hugged me with her shaking body and bra? Why is she wearing bra only? Oh lord what have they done to her? I hug her tightly.
"Are you okay?" I ask looking at her front, searching for any bruises or scars on her. But there isn't. Thank God nothing happened to her this time. This is my chance to make her smile again. I sigh and got up. That's when I noticed her back facing me and five cuts on her back I was about to ask what happened but someone beat me to that.
"See you in hell!!!" What?! That voice is really familiar.
Four bullet sounds came out. I quickly look up at Ashley. But she's just standing still. I turn her around. Oh no.... I look at her stomach then her bleeding arm. I quickly pick her up and ran out of the room. I look back at her, her eyes closes slowly.
"Ashley please stay with me. Ace, Mason help me!!!" I feel helpless looking at her like this and I can't do anything.
I look back at Ashley in my arms. Her eyes are now fully closed.
"Man! What happened to her?!" Mason asked.
"Just follow me to the car!!!" I shouted at both of them. They are too many dead bodies everywhere. So I had to be careful and not trip. I found my way outside the penthouse and ran straight to the car.
I open it with one hand that is also holding Ashley. I quickly got in and Mason sits on the driver's seat and Ace sits on the other side. Mason really knows how to speed cars.
Few minutes later we reached the hospital. I started shouting.
"Help!!! Somebody help!!!" Few doctor came and few went back to get the bed she will lay on. The bed came and I dropped her softly on the bed. They started running with her and I followed they turned right and went inside a room that I know I can't get in I went to the wall and started punching it. Till blood starts oozing out. Ace squeeze my shoulders and we both set down while Mason moves around.
"She gonna be okay." Ace assures me. I wipe the tears that keeps coming.
Three hours later the doctor cones out. I ran to him and ask how is she.
"It looks like she's not gonna make it with the condition she's with now. That bullet damaged somethings in her stomach." Then he left. I fall on my knees and started crying.
"Why her?"
Present
"It still hunts me every time I sleep. That's when I know I didn't feel this pain when my mom died, when my brother died and when Tara died. This pain is worse. I know you still in there fighting for your life. Just keep on and I'm here to support you. I thing I still have to think about this feeling I have and I'll come back again to explain." I got up and look at her body then face. She has so many tubes on her just to keep her breathing.
She has been in coma for a month now and no improvement. But the doctor said she suppose to wake up three weeks ago but she hasn't.
I open the door and get out of the room. I meet Ace and Mason there.
"Is she getting any better?" Ace asked.
"Still the same. Have her parents left?"
"Yes they said they'll be back at the evening." Mason said.
Mason has never been this serious since Ashley has been in coma. Ace comes time to time because Michelle doesn't sleep ever since that they Ashley got to the hospital. She keeps blaming herself for Ashley's condition.
We all hoping she wakes up soon.
