Ashley's POV
The bell finally rang for after school. I got up and pack my text book and pen inside my back. I quickly ran out of the class but before hearing the teacher's voice.
"Complete the work I gave you guys. I am checking it tomorrow!" he shouts. I wasn't even focused on what he was teaching today. My mind was on Chase. Thinking of any case that I offended him.
But I just don't know what. I really want to talk to him now. I put my books in the locker except my math book which I have homework for.
I close my locker and turned around to find Michelle with her phone again. A low chuckle left her mouth. Getting irritated about this I grab her phone from her.
"Hey! Give me back my phone!!" I started walking fast. I really want her attention now. Even at class she doesn't listen to anything I tell her. She's just typing under the table.
I reach outside the school and stopped walking. Few minutes later Michelle catch up with me.
"Why did you take my phone." she asked.
"From all I passed through for the pass like four weeks or so and now that am trying to push those bad memories at the back of my head. You just chatting instead of being a good best friend and help me pass through them and forget about them but you just making me think more about them when you busy chatting. Making me hunt myself with those memories. I feel so lonely now." I said tears start pricking out from the side of my eyes.
Michelle looks down at a hands which are holding each other. She looks up at me again, guilty washing over her face.
"Am really sorry I didn't notice." a tear falls down her eyes. She came close and hugged me. "Am really sorry I didn't even notice that am hurting you." she said still hugging me. I hugged her back.
She broke the hug. I look at her and she has a wide grin on her face staring at me.
"I have an idea!" she said.
"Yeah?" I asked stupidly and she nods.
"Let's go to the mall!" she said.
"But I still-" she cuts me off.
"You will do it later!" she said grabbing me to her car. I look at where Chase usually packs his car. But it's already gone.
"Okay." I shrugged and decided I will talk to him later and call my parents that I will see them later.
Chase's POV
I can't even stop thinking of her leaving this house. I really miss cuddling with her when she can't sleep or even watching movies with her.
Gang leaders like me don't watch movies or cuddle we only talk business. I have to keep my distance with her. Before this feeling in my chest gets worse when she leaves my mansion.
Why don't I just go to a club to get a girl for one night stand. No it probably won't work. I tried it once when she was kidnapped by her uncle but it didn't work I ended up punching the girl which will knock her off for hours and left her in the hotel.
I should keep my distance it will surely work.
Ashley's POV
We have been in the mall for 1 hour 30 minutes and am so tired and hungry.
"Michelle, when you done you will meet me in the restaurant opposite this shop! Okay?!"
"Yeah! Yeah! I will!!" she said from the changing room.
I made my way out of the shop with three plastic bags. One is mine and the other two is for Michelle. Oh I didn't say it. Michelle's parents both work in a hospital. Her father is a doctor and her mother is a nurse. So they usually give Michelle money anytime she wants and she's also mostly home alone.
Me being to deep in thought I bumped into a hard chest. I almost landed on my butt but the hard chest guy caught me.
"Am so sorry." I said and look up meeting the same ocean blue eyes guy I bumped into at school today.
"I guess we meet again." he said with his deep voice and with this beautiful grin on his face.
"Yeah, s-so surprising." I said totally surprised.
"I know. Since we didn't introduce our self nicely, let me introduce my self." he said touching his chest when he said 'my self'.
Such a gentleman he is.
"Well my name is Dixton Ryder and you are?"
"Ashley Thomas."
"What a beautiful name for a beautiful girl like you." my cheeks started heating up so I found my shoes interesting.
"Thanks." I managed to take out.
"So where are you up to now."
"To that restaurant." I said pointing at the place few meters away from us.
"Let's go together." I looked at him in surprised but shrugged and agreed.
